The 2014 Wall Asr Calendar is a 90cm diameter circle which fits the entire year while allowing sufficient space to write down the necessary information.
The design is visually appealing from a distance and practical from close up. Starting from the centre with the entire year, the calendar points one towards the month, the week, the specific date and finally the particular day. This set up leaves the most space in the day field, which is where most information is written down.
Inspired by the practicality of a 12 hour clockface, this unique calendar design not only looks elegant, but is also a very practical management tool which allows for cohesive presentation of all yearly schedules without interruption. It is especially useful for projects which are spread over multiple months or spill over into the following month. The colour coded months also offer the possibility to further organise monthly tasks by colour, which greatly helps remember and visualise tasks. The centre space is useful for decorations or a personal touch, anything from family photos, postcards, drawings, or even extra space for related tasks which can be linked back to any particular day.
The final design of the calendar is a result of many concepts, iterations and refinement. Apart from being crowdfunded this project is hopefully the beginning of crowd designing too, as we hope everyone who pledges will use this calendar throughout the year and send us their feedback in order to be part of the refining process of the design. This will allow everyone to benefit from an improved and further refined calendar.
The 2014 Wall Asr Calendar is printed on a high quality 230gsm matt card.

Risks and challenges
The risk involved in this project has to do with the large volume of potential orders which could bottle neck our printer and cause delays in delivery. In case we receive more orders than the printers can cope with, we have lined up a back up printer to assist with the extra work.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
