Has any of the streamlining or simplification of the system been detailed? We used to play GURPS 3rd edition, we started with 100 point fantasy characters and played for years. What eventually triggered a switch to 3rd ed D&D was the relative quickness of combat of D&D(at low level at least).
While GURPS excels at character creation and development (We all still fondly remember our GURPS characters ) , combat seemed to bog down. It would be nice to see what changes have been brought to this game to quicken things up a bit.
