We have more tooling samples to show you already! This batch of samples for Car Wars Arenas is approved and ready for the next step. Tooling samples are hand made versions of the product by the factory. The next step will be production samples, which are right off the line!

 Until next time autoduellers! Let the madness continue.

      @Dave Autzen - Thank you!!! Some of those cards have been in my skull for decades now. I need to write up a piece discussing how the new edition came about.

      @Philip: Oh, yes, enjoying it very much. The new cards are AMAZING!

      @ldjessee - Everything is still on schedule for delivery no later than the original December date. The factory reports that they're on track.

      @Dave Autzen - I agree that's annoying. We're marking it for repair if a reprint is needed.

      AND thank you for picking up the game. I hope you're enjoying the new cards.

      What is the new ETA on this, now that GenCon is over?

      Picked up a copy of the card game. Kinda bummed about the misprinted Missile and Autocannon cards, that one regular Armor card has to be placed oddly to cover the 3 points of damage...but stuff happens.

      @Dave Autzen - I have been told there will be copies at Gen Con. I just cannot verify that until I get to the booth and _see_ the copies on display.

      Excellent. I like to sleeve my cards. And I saw the post of what new/reprints will be at GenCon; looks like the new CW Card Game didn't make the cut. Darn.

      @Dave Autzen - I'm about 90% sure that the cards are the same size as our Munchkin cards.

      Darn; I really hoped to see 'em up close. Here's hoping you have some copies of the card game! I pledged for a copy, but really want to play the new version! But I was wondering, are the cards going to be the same size as the earlier versions?

      @Mike Norris - $9.95 in 1990 dollars is the equivalent of $17.75 in 2014 dollars. I think the extra $2.20 is totally worth it not to have to grab scissors and cut counters.

      @Dave Autzen - We have no great place to display the Arenas tooling samples at Gen Con. The card game _might_ be available. The container reached the warehouse yesterday and now it's a race against clocks and the world.

      Will these samples be at GenCon so we can take a closer look? And, will you have advance copies of the new CW Card Game available for purchase?

    14. Mike Norris on

      @Phil - I see how they are folded now (just like my first arena in the Car Wars classic box). Bummer, but still worth every penny. :)

      Wow...I still remember picking up that Car Wars box way back in the date for $10. Who knew that $10 would bring me here years and years later. Oh well...enough reminiscing....let's get these arenas out!

      @Mike Norris - No. This is the same size as the Car Wars Classic box. And no, Arenas 2 is not boxed.

      There is no extra room in the box.

    16. Mike Norris on

      lit = it
      attentional = additional

    17. Mike Norris on

      This looks like lit will be the same size as the Deluxe Edition, Boat Wars, and so forth boxes. Is that correct?

      Also are we getting an Arenas 2 box for the attentional arena maps?

      Hopefully there will be enough room to store more maps in them for all of us who printed off the maps during the Car Wars sale. (Yep, I printed them all, and now just need a good way to store them.)

      Oh so nice. I'll probably leave mine sealed so I'd have never seen the Mars Attacks advertising. What's on the other side of the inner box? Probably I should just order a second one to play with.
