New Kickstarter project assists in the education of Padawans

Dear Rebels,

It's been a long, long time ago since I last reached out to you (my Force choke isn't what it used to be). One of our fellow Rebels has taken the leap from Backer to Creator, and his project is something worth supporting.

CHIP (http://kck.st/1rS0PoW) is an easy, fun, and educational kit that builds STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills and grows from a soldering project to a friend that kids can program.

As far as technology educational toys go, CHIP is one of the better ones I've seen, especially for younger students. It's got personality, is super affordable, and integrates character play and story telling potential in additional to providing a sense of purpose and achievement.

Paul's funding goal is modest, and there's no reason not to support such a cute little educational toy that can provide the fundamentals of basic circuitry, soldering, and programming. Who knows? A kid who plays and learns with CHIP might end up making a real world C3PO or R2D2 :-)

I'm pledging my support now. $35 for a CHIP kit and a programmable customized Arduino? Count me in!

May the Force be With You,

Simon
