I'm Chaz Fliy and welcome to my Kickstarter campaign!
I am known as The Creative Connector, I have several creative businesses and teach mindfulness and meditation. The reason I have created this project is to find a solution and create an opportunity for people to give back to the community by supporting creative education in underprivileged schools and positively tackling mental health issues with adults through the power of colouring books.
I have had a fascination for travelling and am grateful that I have travelled to many countries, I have witnessed many magical moments and also moments that have emotionally touched my heart. After an adventure to Africa, I had the opportunity to teach in an orphanage school located in Uganda. After witnessing how limited in educational resources they were, I was touched by how grateful the children looked when we gifted them pens and pencils, so that got me thinking.
What if we collectively were able to support children globally to provide basic creative stationery such as colouring pencils, books, paints and help them express their talents. I wanted to find a solution to how we could promote education and the fuse arts and mindfulness together whilst raising money for a great cause. I came up with the concept with every colouring book we sell we can give one free back to the children.
With my skills as a creative director and meditation teacher, I started creating a product that could be engaging, inspiring and educational, this is how The First Sikh Adult Colouring Book was born.
With Adult colouring books being so popular, their benefits promoting relaxation, focus and meditation are a few reasons I really wanted to launch this project.
I chose to start with an area I have a connection with and has a rich educational and visual history, this was The Sikhs, from Punjab.
Over the last 4 years I have worked with illustrators and brilliant minds from the Sikh community to get it to the stage we are today.
So what do we need? We need you!
To bring this project to fruition there will be more costs. We require funding to help with the manufacturing, sampling, marketing and distribution of the colouring book. My team and I have currently self-funded the project, created the illustrations and are working on the final stages of the written content. We endeavour to craft a product that it can sit on the shelves in major high street stores representing the Sikh community. By raising this first initial investment it will also allow us to print and publish our first 1000 books to start distributing into schools in Punjab and surrounding areas.
I really do hope you can help fund this project as your support will go a long way. We have a variety of ways that you can help us and you will receive limited edition offers and exclusive products.
With your help, the Adult Sikh Colouring Book can inspire and educate millions worldwide and at the same time give underprivileged children an opportunity to connect to the arts.
I am grateful you took the time out to read this and thank you for your help. Please share this with your friends.
