Compositions is an action-packed game, where every player places tiles as fast as they can... all at the same time! Each round takes about 5-10 minutes to play, and it only takes a few minutes to learn.
Compositions shares mechanics with some of your favorite games, like Uno, dominoes, and Bananagrams.

The Origin Story
Graphic and Industrial designers, Tom Groom & Tracie Thompson, thought they knew their color theory—but they soon found out through designing and playing Compositions that they weren't such experts.
The question we get asked the most is: "How did you come up with this idea?" Neither one of us ever thought we would be creating a game, or better yet, launching a Kickstarter for it. What started as a class assignment back in April of 2017 is now Compositions.
The initial concept was the brainchild of Tom, Tracie, and fellow UIC Industrial design student Jamie Morgan, and from there it grew into this campaign.
"We knew we were onto something when design students and board game players alike were eager to play round after round—not to mention when the name-calling and trash talk kicked in."
Our goal in creating Compositions was to design a beautiful and challenging game based on color theory principles, that fosters creativity and learning, with a healthy dose of competition for fun!
We're looking forward to sharing this with you, please get in touch with any questions you might have—we can't wait to hear from you.

Risks and challenges
Compositions is thoroughly play-tested, and ready to manufacture—we're prepped and ready to go, all we need now is some support from you.
This is our first Kickstarter, but we come from a school which prides itself on successful student Kickstarters through the Senior class Entrepreneurial Product Design (EPD) “Always be Hustling” class.
We have access to many great professors who have had huge success on Kickstarter including the creative brains behind the Manual Coffeemaker Nº3 and the Fourneau Bread Oven.
We are extremely happy with our manufacturer for Compositions and look forward to working with them again on future projects.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
