When we started it was a small dream with big hopes, and now we see the endless possibilities of surpassing our original goal of $2,5000, and making "Showgirls the Musical" even bigger and better than originally planned! So, go all in with us and donate today, darlin'! You gotta gamble if you're gonna win!
The timeless story of a hungry young dancer's rise to the top of the sordid Las Vegas entertainment industry makes it's way to Chicago stage—paired with only the finest musical treasures of the 70s, 80s and 90s. With a small cast of talented actors (and as much glitter and gold lamé as we can get our hands on) we bring you "Showgirls the Musical"—opening October 2012 in Chicago. Discussions are already underway to bring the show to other cities in 2013.
Once obtaining our total, we will produce "Showgirls the Musical" in Chicago for a brief, initial run of public performances before packing our bags, and hopefully taking the show on the road. To make this happen we need to raise a minimum of $2,500.
This total will help us pay our small cast of actors, build a fabulous set, and help promote the show. If 100 supports each give just $25, we'll reach our goal! Check out the sexy rewards we offer for supporting our campaign. If you are interested in attending a performance, a $100 donation rewards you with not only a ticket for admission, but other great perks that make it worth your while.
What is "Showgirls the Musical?"
"Showgirls the Musical" is a musical drama about a dancer scheduled to premiere in October of 2012 in Chicago.
Why do you need $2,500?
We need at least $2,500 to cover the cost of our initial run in Chicago. This amount will allow us what we need to provide costumes, lighting, set design, compensation for actors, as well as marketing and press materials to ensure the success of "Showgirls the Musical."
What happens if you don't make your goal of $2,500?
If we don't raise at least $2,500 we will not get any of the money that was pledged. Your credit card will not be charged.
Does my credit card get charged when I make the pledge?
No. Your credit card will only get charged when we reach our $2,500 goal.
When do I get my merchandise, my tickets and pledge incentives?
All pledge fulfillment will begin when we reach our goal. Programs will be completed shortly before the show's opening, but other incentives will become available sooner.
How do I know what dates the show will be running and do I get a choice of dates to attend?
The show is scheduled for mid-October 2012 opening for a short run. Additional shows may be added as initial shows fill. Your pledge will entitle you to choose from any of the public performances. If you can't attend for any reason, tickets will be transferable, but not refundable.
What do you hope to accomplish with "Showgirls the Musical"?
Our goal is to develop "Showgirls the Musical" into a viable theatrical spectacular on both local and national levels and see her live long into the future—hitch-hiking across the globe, and lap-dancing her way into the hearts of musical lovers.
Can you exceed your fundraising goal?
Yes! To exceed our goal would make us very proud, and would also elevate the final product even farther than we intend too. Additional funding would result in even more glitz and glamour than we already have planned for you!
Is my pledge publicly displayed?
No. You and the producers of "Showgirls the Musical" are the only people who will be able to view your pledge amount. Only the name you choose (first name; initials; or alias) will be displayed as a supporter of the project.
If I donate, how do I get my reward?
Depending on the type of reward, once we complete our fundraising effort you'll be contacted as to how and when to collect your gift. Some rewards may not be available until the show has begun. If your reward is a ticket to the show, you will be contacted prior to tickets going on sale to the general public, to be sure you get your choice of performance.
