100 Dogs is a signed, numbered limited first edition of only 100 books.
Your dog, your faithful pal, will be immortalised inside with a whole page to themselves, creating a fun and fascinating record of 100 individual dogs.

Any dog you know and wish to celebrate can be included for any reason - the more obscure, interesting or bizarre the reason the better!

I'm Shoo Rayner, a Bitish children's author and illustrator of of over 300 books. I will draw your chosen canine, in my individual cartoon, illustration style.
You will also receive a signed, numbered copy of the book, with "name collar", poster, handwritten postcard of thanks and ebook editions, as well a signed copy of my new children's novel, Walker, the boy who can talk to dogs. It's the book that inspired this kickstarter.
You will also receive the signed original artwork to frame and keep - being a book illustrator, my artwork is rarely available to collect.
I have an award winning YouTube channel with over 200,000 subscribers, and I will video the drawing and creation of your artwork and post it online, as part of a 100 Dogs Video Series, naming you on the video as Associate Producer.
I like to make posters to go with my books. I thought it would be great to have a poster with lots of dog images on it, when my new book, Walker, is published.
I didn't want to google up loads of dogs, so I thought, why not have real dogs? That's when this idea came about. - to create dog artwork for the Walker poster, with a story behind each dog on the poster, plus Stella, the heroine of the book. A win-win for all concerned.
My plan is to work on the artwork through March and April, delivering the books in May and any ebooks earlier as they become ready. The bookshop edition, that will be available in stores and Amazon, will be published about three months later, allowing time for marketing, but I will send out special pre-publication editions in May as well.
My first job, many years ago was in printing, so I've always loved the process of printing and making books. I love making books and this idea seems so much fun. I will be doing lots of how to draw dogs at schools and literary festivals this year, so I also thought this would give me lots of practice!

I'm a children's author and illustrator, having written and/or illustrated over 300 children's books for major publishers.
I also run two successful Youtube channels ShooRaynerDrawing (over 200,000 subscribers) and DrawStuffRealeasy (93,870 subscribers).
I've successfully launched three book projects on Kickstarter, and published other books as an independent publisher, giving me tons of publishing and delivery experience.
Risks and challenges
I'm very confident that I can complete this project on time, as I have many years experience creating picture books and I have delivered similar projects on KickStarter before.
What if I don't get 100 backers? Simple, As long as I reach my Kickstarter funding target, I will still make the book, but there will be fewer dogs and pages in it - making it even more exclusive - so the risk becomes a benefit! In that case I will endeavour to add some extras to the Bookshop Edition to make up.
