Haha! He's "Spanking The Monkey."
Sexual Puns or a Play on Words? Not really sure how to describe it but you know it when you see it.
My goal is to create a photo book that is a series of portraits showing people acting out the literal interpretation of some sexy word play.
Nothing will be sacred or off limits! The fun will be flipping through the pages and trying to see if you can figure out what the dirty word or phrase is that is on display.
Playing The Skin Flute.
There are so many!
I've already shot a few and am now ready to devote the next few months to finishing the project with your help.
Please feel free to watch my video and visit my commercial photography site to see some of the images and better understand the idea: http://www.shilohstrongfoto.com

- To create a series of 40-50 portraits and self publish a coffee table book.
- Host an evening to celebrate the completion of the project and have a gallery showing here in Los Angeles.
- Use this book and with the support and proof of the Kickstarter community to approach some publishing companies and get the book published on a larger scale.
- The real goal though is to have as many people see these photos and crack the F*** up!
HOW IT 'TWILL BE DONE:
I'm a professional photographer in Los Angeles and I'm lucky enough to have a studio space to shoot in. So it's a matter of getting the right models, locating the right props, building the sets needed and then capturing that blend of comedy and weirdness in the moment of the shoot.
Then it's working with the film and post production and creating the design of the book.
I have a dream to get some raunchy comedians to pose for some of the portraits. How great would it be to get Sarah Silverman in front of the camera!? Perhaps a forward?
THE MONEY IS FOR:
Props and Sets-
Although the images may look simple they rely heavily on props and sets to make it all work. The great thing about living in Los Angeles is that there are so many creative prop houses and artistic people who can help build what I need but it ends up costing a pretty penny.
I've shot my other images on a 4x5 film camera, using black and white Kodak Tri-X 320 film which I love the way it looks and want to continue shooting with. The crazy thing about this old school form of picture taking is that one has to develop the film! So the money will be going for that as well.
This is one of the main goals of this project and I am keeping the cost of the book for any supporters down as low as possible cause I want you to have a book! This will mean the more people who are willing to show interest in the first printing of the book will be more proof to a publishing house that people are excited about the project when I start pitching it.
ADDITIONALLY - The company that I am working with to publish the book has the option to register the book with the Library of Congress. Which I am going to do. So this means that it's a "real book". So that if a publishing house picks up the book after this first run and prints it - it would be the 2nd printing and making this first edition a collectors item. That's the dream anyway!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I appreciate you taking the time to read my Kickstarter pitch - I'm super excited to start shooting and would love it if you would be able to be a part of the project.
