Friends, Welcome to my Kickstarter Page! It has been 2 long, fun years since my last record, and I am just itching to record a new one. We are officially booked for 3 weeks in November to do the dirty deed and expect it to be released in early 2012. I summed up the majority of my thoughts concerning the project the the Q & A below. Please read on and find out a little bit more about why we're doing this!
Kickstarter is our way to be involved with you while we work. I could not be more excited to get to hang with you at the studio, guest list you, dedicated songs to you, collaborate with you, or even just e-mail you what i've been working on. YOU are the reason I am doing this today, and kickstarter is the best way to continue to engage you guys in our art.
I get it. I just about keeled over when we totaled up the cost, but I assure you - it's an honest price. My last album cost around $10,000 which included cutting a lot of corners, having the majority of contributors receive the bare minimum out of the goodness of their own hearts, and sometimes, even doing without any compensation whatsoever strictly because they are kind-hearted, generous people who believed in my cause. I want to do it right this time. While we are still being frugal, $15,000 allows me to support local producers, studio musicians, studio owners, artists, graphic designers, web designers, and creatives in the same way they have constantly supported me.
What Happens if You Don't Reach Your Goal?
I guess we're screwed. :) We're taking a huge leap of faith here . . . i'll probably lose all my hair and develop an ulcer over the these 31 days- but seriously, if we do not meet our goal - you will not be charged. No sweat.
Facebook me with any other questions/requests etc! I am so excited to embark on this new journey with you. I am humbled by your generosity and want to thank you for all you do. I love love love each and every one of you.
