Final 12 hours

Posted by Sheila Ruth (Imaginator Press) (Creator)

Here we are, 12 hours until the end of the Kickstarter project. It's been an exciting journey, and I'm honored to have shared it with all of you. I have enjoyed this opportunity to get to know some of you better through this experience. This project has really brought the community together, and I hope that we can find a way to maintain that bond and sense of community long after the project ends.

We're currently at $6,540, which is well over our funding goal. The Ratha's Creature Graphic Novel is a go! We raised enough for a digital edition, but not quite enough for a print run yet. I know that many of you are hoping for a print version, and I will do what I can to find a way to bring this to print even if we don't reach the stretch goal, but the more we can raise past the initial funding goal, the better the chance that we will be able to go to print.

I wanted to share with you something that Clare Bell posted:

I keep having to pinch myself to be sure it's not just a dream. Yes, we worked our tails off, and we made it. And the "we" includes everyone who suggested the idea, encouraged it, believed in it, helped it, did art for it, posted about it, backed it on Kickstarter, and are now celebrating it. YOU! --Clare Bell

Many people pledged in the last few days, so I wanted to make sure you were aware of the backers-only updates that you now have access to as backers:

A gift for backers: Young Ratha Wallpaper

Fessran Character Development: A Backers Only Update

Backers' Only Update: Fiery Ratha Wallpaper

Finally, I thought it was appropriate to leave you with this montage of the various covers of Ratha's Creature over the years. We will soon be adding one more! The montage was created by Lew Lashmit, viergacht on DeviantArt.

Unless something exciting happens, this will probably be my last update before the Kickstarter project ends. I'll send another update after the deadline to let everyone know the final tally, and what the next steps are.

Thank you all! May you eat of the haunch and sleep in the driest den.

Sheila Ruth
