AT LAST! GOOGLE GLASS CAN BE YOURS!
Your search is over! It's exactly what you've been waiting for - now you can augment your dining table with this cutting edge piece of hardware:
VERSION 1.1 ALREADY RELEASED TOO...
There are three versions of Google Glass for you to choose from... the 'I'm Feeling Lucky' version (above) and the 'Search For Beverage' version (below):
Google Glass is compatible with all types of beverage...
A TOTALLY PERSONALISED VERSION TOO
You can also have your very own personalised version of Google Glass. Your name - or the name of someone you know - will be laser etched into the search bar. In fact, you can add any text to the search bar as long as it's 20 letters or less. Here's an example of a personalised Google Glass:
I love bringing ideas to life. It's my 'raison d'etre'! After I had the initial idea for these Google Glass versions, I was utterly gripped with the thought of making them happen and posting a campaign on Kickstarter, both to see if anyone would buy one and also to fund the first run of glasses.
In order to bring this concept to life - and into your hands, first I had to work on the designs to be etched. I experimented with different slogans underneath the main design and from these experiments, the two main options were born - and the personalised version too.
Once I had the initial designs, I then needed to source a good quality supplier of tumblers and also find a reliable company with a top-class laser etching machine capable of creating the best quality laser etched glasses. Once I'd found suitably professional and experienced manufacturing partners, the early prototypes we created showed us that the positioning of the wording and logo were pivotal - you can see below an early prototype and how it's slightly too low on the glass (the position has now been centralised vertically and horizontally, as you can see on the other images):
PRODUCTION & FULFILMENT PLAN
If we reach our target goal at the end of this Kickstarter campaign, then each Google Glass will be made to order. I've already sourced a large number of the quality tumblers, so if the campaign is successful, we'll then start laser etching each one to fulfil the rewards.
- Late June - campaign ends and surveys sent out for addresses, choice of version and personalisation options.
- Early July - laser etching starts.
- July - laser etching, packaging printing and shipping.
- End of July - we'll aim to have your item(s) delivered by the end of July. Depending on how popular the campaign is, this might change slightly - and if it does, we shall keep you fully informed of course.
MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN
Unlike most of my past creations, these glasses will be made in the UK. Personally, I'm not really bothered where something is manufactured - I believe that when the aliens finally come to visit from outer space, we'll all suddenly become one united humanity anyway and we'll bond together wonderfully, forgetting the boundaries we've arbitrarily drawn on a map many years ago - but if national borders are important to you, you may like to know that this item is made in the U.K.. God Shave The Queen!
THE PERFECT GIFT FOR SOMEONE YOU KNOW
This Google Glass makes a fabulous gift for anyone who is hard to buy for. Each one is carefully laser etched and packed in a protective box.
I'm sure you know that a 'stretch goal' is a target beyond the original Kickstarter goal - and frequently involves additional rewards being added. To say 'thank you' to everyone who backed this campaign, every backer will now receive some specially commissioned coaster-mats that bear the Kickstarter Logo and my website address too. Made of good quality durable card, they're the perfect - and very handsome - platform to rest your 'Google Glass' on...
THE IRONY OF GOOGLING: 'LAWSUIT'
Of course, it goes without saying that this item is not officially approved by Google (but I said it anyway, because my Lawyers told me to) and is in fact, a simple parody and wonderful homage to the awesome Google brand - and the latest gadget they're launching. I hope Google will welcome the pastiche in the good manner it's created.
I've had brushes with Google in the past. Last year, I created a one-page satirical 'website' called 'Google Nigeria' which went viral. Google sent me a writ and eventually closed it down. I reposted the idea under the domain www.BannedSearchEngine.com where it resides very happily today. You can see a screenshot of it below:
EXTRA REWARD: HIRE ME FOR A MOTIVATIONAL SPEECH OR COMEDY GIG
As well as being the creator of this campaign and a product designer, I'm also a motivational speaker on creativity and innovation - and a comedian who uses props and videos as part of my act. I've given TED lectures, including one at TEDx Guernsey and I've also won comedy awards for my solo act.
See testimonials and videos for my professional speaking here: www.MotivationalUKSpeaker.com
My comedy show site is: www.TroubleShow.com
I have a long and established track record of always delivering on my promises. I previously launched a successful Kickstarter project for Belt Mistletoe, plus I've created and sold many products worldwide.

Risks and challenges
1. I've sourced partners for the glasses and laser etching already, so I'm ready to go.
2. I'm well versed in fulfilling orders and creating products - and my VIP customers are PHENOMENALLY important to me. I want you to order from me in the future and I take pride in what I do, so I always aim to do a great job.
3. Google might sue my arse. If they do, I may run another Kickstarter campaign to help with the legal fees.
Thanks for backing me and please tell your social networks about this campaign if you like it...and have a productive day...
