About this project
We are making this film to submit to film festivals around the world, and not for cinema release. The only way to be guaranteed to see it is to back our campaign for £25 to get a download of the film or £60 for a DVD & other goodies.
This money will go straight into the production of the film and not into our pockets. This film is what many call a 'passion project', which means we are making it for love of dance, storytelling, and cinema-- not to make money.
All backers will have access to exclusive backer-only content & updates, will receive a special digital 'thank you', and will be publicly thanked on our website.
Doll Factory is an unusual take on a young girl chasing after her dreams, managing her father's expectations, and learning to live in a blended family. We explore parental relationships and show that love is love and being a parent is more than just a title.
Our young lead, Aliza played by Tayluer Amos from Dance Mums, is a gifted ballerina who pushes herself to the limit trying to please her dance teacher father. At home her mother and step-father dote on a new baby while Aliza worries about her place in this new family. Things come to a head in rehearsals for the winter showcase.
This film will be a visual treat- telling the story not only with words, but with dance and an intentional visualisation of spaces and mood.
We are hard-working, motivated, and determined to make this film the best it can be and we are giving you the chance to invest in it and invest in us. Imagine the bragging rights if had you invested in Scorsese while he was still in film school!

We are really excited about the rewards we are able to offer you guys, and we can't wait to share the film with you! Because of the nature of most film festivals, please understand that we have to wait to distribute the film to you until after we have screened the film at festivals.
We are offering props, the official film clapper, and behind the scenes access as some of our exclusive rewards. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions!
**LAST MINUTE REWARD!**
We've added the Original Ballet Foot Stretch used by Tayluer in the film as a reward! Not only will you own a piece of Doll Factory history, but you'll have this beautiful and useful foot stretch.
Thanks to IdeasTap & UAL for getting us this far… and to you for getting us to the finish line!
Risks and challenges
We will work hard to make this film the best it can possibly be! This means that the better it is, the more festivals we will be invited to... meaning it will take longer to distribute the film as part of the rewards. However, we will send out the rest of the rewards as soon as possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
