Shadowrift: Archfiends is an expansion that plays with the Shadowrift core game (1st or 2nd Edition). There is only one edition of Shadowrift: Archfiends available which is shipping now to backers and is scheduled to be released at Gen Con and in stores the week ending July 31st.
2nd Edition Rules
Leading into this 2nd Edition, Jeremy has undertaken remastering the rules of Shadowrift. Without changing the core of the game, he has refined the card types and keywords and refocused some of the mechanics. Thus the 2nd Edition production will feature the creation of an all new rulebook, incorporating images of the new cards.
Shipping - Customs-Friendly Worldwide
This campaign will be shipped through Ship Naked (www.ShipNaked.com) using their new Customs-Friendly Worldwide with Worry-Free Shipping. This is the same system pioneered by Gamelyn Games through Ship Naked for their Tiny Epic series. Customs-Friendly Worldwide means that we'll ship through appropriate shipping depots around the world to minimize the expense for the publisher (that's us) and the costs for the backer (that's you!)
Ship Naked has shipping depots in the USA, Canada, the UK, mainland Europe, Australia, and Asia.
Customs-Friendly Worldwide is like EU-Friendly, Canada-Friendly, Australian-Friendly, US-Friendly, and Everywhere-Else-Friendly all rolled into one :)
If you have any issues with customs, brokerage fees, and other expenses, Ship Naked will take care of you directly.

Risks and challenges
Shadowrift has come a long way since Jeremy first made the initial printing.
We experienced many delays including changing printers during the production of Shadowrift: Archfiends. We've taken that experience and worked it into the plans for this campaign to avoid those issues going forward.
We've scheduled a reasonable year to allow for time to finish all the new artwork that's not already done as of the launch of this campaign. That will take some time.
The total costs for this upgraded edition are estimated at $24,986. We've jumpstarted the campaign by putting $15,000 toward this production, so we already have 60% of the funds we'll need to proceed with the upgraded art and the new edition. That's where you come in! This campaign will help raise the remaining funds we need to proceed, and determine how we can upgrade the game with your support.
We'll provide you with updates at each major milestone of production and delivery.
We love your comments and feedback. We'll provide any changes inspired by your feedback in our updates. If you've got a question or comment, whether it's in person, by phone, via email, or on this project page, we appreciate it.
Game Salute have seen that sometimes, after a campaign successfully funds and the thing being funded is actually being produced, life happens and a few people will want to cancel their pledge before the estimated delivery date. If that happens, just contact us and we'll be happy to make arrangements to process a refund to you. Now take note: when we receive your funds, we only receive around 85% of what you paid thanks to various fees and charges, so whatever your pledge was you’ll get it back less 15% to cover those charges.
