What is Crescent Hollow
Crescent Hollow is an Action RPG, (2D Orthogonal).
"As above, so below, discover the mysteries of the hollow". Step into the world of Anthropia where you can dynamically change the world environment. Will you help the empires of the world, or destroy them? Four different classes with unique stories, and around a dozen party units to summon at the barracks. (Build your own party + Couch COOP)
Crescent Hollow has been in development since 2015 and is a handcrafted game from the ground up with custom music, sound design, art, and code. This game has been our passion for over 2 years now, and are delighted to bring it to Kickstarter!
Our main goal after getting funded on Kickstarter is to make everyone the best physical goods we can for this game, in particular, the PC physical copy, physical soundtrack, and posters. As well as paying our part-time creature/concept artist to go full-time. Leftover money will be used for console development (Nintendo Switch) and studio expenses.

There are currently 4 classes to choose from: Airship Pirate, Ninja, Druid, or Dark Knight. All 4 classes have been fully animated, have their own unique intro story and wield around 20 powers each.
"Glorious Gloria Viticus" is the master of the skies! She lives for glory and exploration. Where she lacks in Strength and HP, she makes up for in attack speed.
The Ninja walks the path of discipline with cunning speed & descent strength. The ninja class uses a Katana that has great reach and good damage. Can use magic but has very low wisdom. (Mana Pool)
The Dark Knight has incredible strength, vitality, and endurance, however, lacks in Dexterity and Agility. Has very low wisdom and Int (Mana Pool/Magic Damage) but can still deal magic damage.
The Emerald Mage is the Druid. The keeper of all things nature. Can use elemental magic and can shapeshift into various animals that are commanded with command scrolls. Has a +5% resist all across the board for all elemental magic. However, the Emerald Mage has low endurance and strength.
Crescent Hollow began with an overworld map and a logo in 2015. From there we decided to go in the classic RPG SNES art style approach. When it comes to the main arc and loop, the goal was to have a classic RPG world that people were familiar with, but could finally change in some way. What way you say? Well you need to play to see it! Plenty of hints are given to see what direction Crescent Hollow is going in, story-wise. Without giving away too much, we can safely say that each character you play has its own story, then they all meet up in the middle eventually, for a grand adventure that has been well thought out.
Real-time action combat, each class has about twenty powers and four to six standard attacks with their class weapon. Combat is about 75% complete, yet fully functional for the DEMO.
Dynamic airship battle system that allows you to experience real-time combat in the skies. You can fire cannons, upgrade your cannons, customize your sail, and you will have to repair your hull after certain battles.
Airship Encounter: Giant Bird Attack
Complex, yet comprehensive stat system, complete with resists for player, party, and enemy.
STRENGTH – Multiplies melee damage
INTELLIGENCE – Multiplies Magic/Elemental damage
VITALITY – Health Pool and Regen
ENDURANCE – Stamina Pool and Regen
WISDOM – Mana Pool and Regen
AGILITY – Movement Speed
DEXTERITY – Attack Speed
Current Resists: Fire, Ice, Water, Lightning, Earth, Air
*We are considering adding light and dark resists as well.
So far there are about 35 fully animated creatures in the game. Half of them can be gained via quests and can be commanded with command scrolls, then summoned at the barracks. (*not all enemies can be turned into party units.) When you buy command scrolls at the barracks, and then use a command scroll, it has a 15% chance of absorbing the soul of special enemies in, then it turns into a command card. From there you can summon that particular creature at the barracks. This allows you to build a custom party. The Demo has some party units from different catergories unlocked for the sake of time, no need to go out and command them just yet.

The game Demo has a boss fight we will leave as an Easter egg to those who get to it.
Three controllable party members called "Party Units", mix and match them, level them up, unlock new powers. The barracks buildings can be found in any major Empire, or town, and is used to summon your party units. *Each class starts off with their own unique party units.
Experience combat with up to four friends. (refer to Kickstarter trailer for more footage)
Harvest items from plants, trees, enemies. Craft potions from the alchemy station, weapons/armor at the anvil, cook food from the campfire. Gather wood, stone, and ore to build your empire from the ground up. You will also be able to farm. The build system ties into the games main story quest, it will all make sense as you play. For now, we will explain the best we can since build mode is not in the DEMO. In the near future, we will release a build mode DEMO since the system is quite complex.
Around a dozen biomes, each highly detailed and fleshed out. Multiple overworld maps. Explore the islands of the seas and the skies.
The day/night cycle is connected to a global clock. There is also a calendar that keeps track of every day of each month so that events can be triggered any day of the month. As day turns into night it becomes especially dangerous as there are exclusive nighttime creatures that spawn.
Fully customized music to bring the world of Crescent Hollow to life. The composer has brought her unique sounds in creating modern retro style music.
Physical copy includes the game and soundtrack on disc and a choice of the exclusive Kickstarter poster OR game map. Limited Collector Edition will include both the map and poster as well as the physical game and soundtrack.

Maritza has been producing music for over a decade. Having gaining experience over many years shows in her variety of music production skills. She has previously worked on one other game, spiritual software, and multiple promotional music for applications. Maritza's love for the gaming industry pushed and encouraged her to get into the field. Joining the team was the start of exposing her talents to the world. Jenny Cooper (Part-time)

Jenny is a very talented fine artist for 20+ years. She makes amazing D&D style creatures, and various concept art for Crescent Hollow.
CURRENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRESS:
75% - Combat system is very important to us so while it is completely playable, it will take a bit more time. Needs finalization of all class powers, debuffs/status effects and general polish
PARTY SYSTEM - 90% - Needs very little attention, however, some polish is needed
MAPS - 50% - Plenty of maps in the game, plenty more to be made!
QUESTS - 50% - The main quest needs to be finished and plenty of fun side quests will be implemented

CRAFTING SYSTEM - 30% Complete - GUI and icons are in place, scripts need finished.
BUILD MODE - 60% Complete - You can build walls (Horizontal, vertical), buildings (Inn, Blacksmith, Alchemist, Engineer), and place lighting (multiple types) at the moment. To finish the system we will add statues, water fountains, furniture and much more!
SIEGE SYSTEM - 50% Complete - So far we have destructible walls, buildings, and siege weapons such as catapults that can fire in any direction. We plan to finish the system with all the remaining empires we are currently adding.
*Please keep in mind that there are some graphics that will get another art pass or two. Not to mention some animations that will be tightened up and placeholders that will be replaced.

Risks and challenges
The project lead Anthony Weintz has 15 years of Graphic Design experience, and 7 years in Programming. We as a team have created one previous game as well as multiple apps, so we can assure backers we will finish the game. The greatest challenge, to be honest, has been setting up this Kickstarter since it is our first time. We work 10-12 hours almost every day of the week on this game, so backers can be assured we will come through with completion by our release date. If for some reason we cannot hit the release date then we will do everything to communicate with backers about the current situation of the game.
