All of the guides and books that I have read on PC building don't tackle certain subjects because of dating the material, or even out of fear of angering hardware/software developers.
They also do not approach the subject from a "zero computer knowlege" perspective. This project's goal is to offer the guide in many different versions so that someone will be able to view the same topic in various ways for clarification.
I have also tried to use forums for information on building my own systems, but it's impossible to ask for answers if one doesn't know the question to begin with. It is my experience that answers can come slowly and rather cryptic at times on forums, because there isn't someone there that is dedicated to answering the questions. This is especially true if the issue being experienced is isolated and obscure.
I am also a visual learner and even if these other guides and things cover many aspects to the PC building process, it doesn't take into consideration that I need things laid out visually.
