About this project
A story for the ages
30 feet beneath the ruined temple, two days journey from civilization, hanging by a ledge with one hand while your other grips the wrist of your dangling companion. Your palms feel hot from gripping the only thing that stands between you and the unknown that waits in the dark below. As the dice clatter across the table you can almost feel the earth crumble beneath your fingers as the darkness comes up to greet you... now let's take a break, I have to draw the room you fell into!
What we are making for you
Our map tiles make it easy for you to play the table top games that you love. They are dry erase safe so you don't have to bother with anything messy. They are portable so you can stick them in a backpack or in a binder, and they are tough and reusable so you will only have to buy them once! They allow you to draw your entire dungeon out before it's time to play, making it a breeze to snap down the rooms as they are explored instead of having to stop and draw them in one at a time. A story teller can carry a full color map around with him and put the tiles over the top of it, giving you a fully detailed background without messing up your map. They automagically fit together, allowing you to adventure on the fly and in any direction that your players decide to go. There are a lot of things that can be done with what we are giving you, it's up to you to find out all the different way you can put them to use!
A little about us
We've been playing role playing games here at Ingression Point for many years. As we grew older and started working more we found that we had a lot less time to play, and on those few occasions that we did get a chance to enjoy a romp through the dungeons, we spent so much of our precious adventuring time drawing in rooms and measuring blast shapes that it felt like our chance to have fun had been squandered. But that never made our memories of the game any less exciting or vibrant. The things that we create here are the things that are meant to fix those problems. We are trying to make things that maximize your play time and help cut the down time. We hope you enjoy them.
By utilizing the crowd funding of kickstarter, we can get our ideas out to you and get a feel for what you think about them. Kickstarter helps to tell us that you will use what we can make and it help's to get us started in our first manufacturing run. Without your pledge we would never be able to afford the materials in the quantity that is required to make items possible to produce. Kickstarter is the gateway through which we bring our idea's off of the designers board and into your hands.
Interesting uses for the tiles...

Risks and challenges
Our first Kickstarter project, which reached it's goal on April 13th, 2013, is currently in the ordering phase for the materials, the first half of them arrived today on April 26th, 2013. The final designs and approved cuts were finished within a few days of the projects end, the materials and packaging ordered the day the payments cleared. We will be using the same company for materials ordering for our map tiles as we did the Area Of Effect Markers. Having the experience of our first kickstarter under our belt makes us feel confident that this one will be a huge success! We have been able to clarify our rewards and make a video that better showcases what we are making. As a company outside of gaming, we have been producing large volumes of custom laser cut products for big brand names all across the United States for over 15 years. We have all of our own equipment and do all of our own designs. Everything that we are doing with this project will be cut, tested, packaged and shipped from our workshop. The only outside material that we will be ordering is the acrylic itself which may have a delay in shipping depending on the quantity of materials we need to purchase. We have purchased large quantities from this supplier before and have never had any issues, so we do not expect any major problems with any of our delivery dates or manufacturing times. We do not expect any major issues with any of our hardware and have checks in place to overcome any physical failures very quickly. Shipping is even picked up at our back door on a daily basis. In short, we expect very few challenges during this kickstarter and are very excited to be using our years of experience in laser cutting to make things for the games we love!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
