The PAGES guidebook was designed for the print enthusiast, and on a broader level for anyone who wants to travel differently in the big cities. Around the concept of independent bookshops, it brings together a number of recommended addresses in each city as well as a selection of today’s best magazines.
PAGES is the brainchild of Céline Debray, founder of the Sérendipité bookshops. Conjured during her many trips between New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, Stockholm and San Francisco… “I travel to a city to find the bookshop of my dreams. I often go with that goal in mind, and then my adventure creates itself from this shop’s location. No paper guide lists the best bookshops and their favourite places to visit in their city.” This guide that does not yet exist will be PAGES.
The project came into being after Céline Debray met Pierre Grosjean, co-founder of the Geneva-based media agency LargeNetwork, specializing in information design and creation of magazines. Both are great print enthusiasts and curious to discover magazines from around the world…. They have embarked on a joint project that won’t be possible without you. This guide also has as a goal to support the booksellers who value these precious magazines on an everyday basis, and broadcast them with passion. We thereby want to participate in the economy and the diversity of these publications.
Because Kickstarter is a worldwide community of passionate people, encouraging creativity and diversity, PAGES is an adventure that we would like to share. The global nature of Kickstarter also matches this guide’s ambitions, which was designed for cosmopolitan readers.
PAGES is a non-profit project. In order to bring this to life, we are going to need your help! If the amount we need seems high to you, it is important for us to show you the different skills and individuals involved in this book, as well as the costs attached to the successful completion of a book like this:
- Journalists who will conduct and write all of the booksellers’ interviews, as well as the information sheets on their favourite magazines;
- Graphic designers who will work on the layout of the guide;
- Proofreaders and translators;
- A project coordinator;
- Quality printing.
We will launch the realization of our guide as soon as our funding objective is achieved. Its printing is scheduled for May 2017. It will therefore arrive in your hands in the spring of 2017, just in time for the launch party.
All of your efforts and contributions are important to us. Here are the different rewards that we offer in order to thank you:

Risks and challenges
The only risk identified for the PAGES project would be a delay in production and delivery, which is rather acceptable. The fact that LargeNetwork’s team has over 15 years of experience in the development and production of magazines will minimize that risk.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
