About this project

UNLUCKY GIRL

Attacked without warning, left to die without help or hope, feeling her life slipping away, moment by moment ... she was the unlucky one.

CAST

TARA STRAND is a diverse performer who comes from the world of variety arts. She’s performed theatrically as a mime, a clown, a dancer, a character actress, and a magician’s assistant. Her stage credits include performances with the LA Opera, the Velvet Hammer Burlesque, the American Russian Theatre Ensemble Laboratory (ARTEL), and the Sideshow Sirens. Tara's background has been translating into a growing number of offbeat video and film projects including the short comedy 10 EZ Steps For Mortician Success.

JOE MANENTE is new to the horror genre but has stared in the comedy Not Quite College by Fishtank productions 2009, and The Loft web series. He has also toured with Chicago's Second City theatre Co. and fronts a local LA band The Glory Stompers.

SPECIAL FX / MAKE-UP

CHRIS BAER has worked on the Stan Winston team, including studio feature films such as Jurassic Park 3 and A.I. He also worked for 2 years on the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Some may recall the N’Sync video for “It’s Gonna Be Me” when the boys were made into human dolls. Chris certainly does considering he did Justin Timberlake’s make-up application!

ABOUT THE FILM

Seraph Films is preparing to shoot this short comedy / horror film with a surreal approach.  It's a simple, yet abstract story of a girl in deep, dark trouble.  We are seeking donations of any amount to help us make it happen.

Please check it out and, if you can afford a few bucks, pledge to make the donation on this site. There are rewards for those that really want to be a part of the film by making larger donations, but we appreciate every penny.

This is a labor of love. We are not asking for a lot of funding, just enough to cover props and materials needed for the shoot. We are not paying ourselves or the actors. The cool thing about Kick Starter is that you can get rewards for contributing at various levels. And, if we do not reach our goal, you do not pay - it's an all or nothing program. Kickstarter.com will not charge you or pay us unless our entire goal is reached. So even if you have just $5, please consider helping us out.

We plan to make this short whether or not the funding is there, but this would help us get it done better.

If nothing else, please "LIKE" our Facebook page and repost. Thanks in advance!
