About this project
With everyone’s help, our goal is to localize the entire trilogy of Grisaia visual novels for Windows PC!

Note: The Sony Playstation Vita release of these games received a CERO D rating in Japan, which is the equivalent of an ESRB "M for Mature" rating.
The Grisaia series is an enormous story featuring 80+ hours of gameplay - possibly the single most ambitious visual novel localization to date. Our goal covers the costs of a high-quality translation, licensing royalties, voices for the entire series, and other development / production costs.
As visual novels are still just gaining popularity with gamers and anime fans overseas, localizing and translating these three games comes with many risks. Let’s show Frontwing and other amazing visual novel companies together just how much we want to enjoy their games in English!
"The Fruit of Grisaia"
"Mihama Academy." At a glance, it might seem a normal school; but this isolated learning environment is home to a mere five students, all female.
This changes with the arrival of Kazami Yuuji, a transfer student with an uncertain past and a highly idiosyncratic personality.
As Yuuji interacts with his five classmates, all borderline-eccentrics in their own right, they begin to influence each other in unexpected, meaningful ways...
But the deep-seated, painful wounds that have brought these five young women to Mihama are still a fact of their existence. And eventually, our protagonist can no longer remain a spectator.
Will Yuuji's peculiar set of skills and experiences enable him to open his classmates' stubbornly-sealed hearts...?
"The Labyrinth of Grisaia"
The sequel contains five "After Stories" continuing all of the heroines' routes from "The Fruit of Grisaia," in addition to "The Cocoon of Caprice," a story which touches on Kazami Yuuji's painful, complex past and explores certain mysteries left unresolved in the previous title. A variety of bonus content is also included, including dozens of brief "Short Stories."
"The Eden of Grisaia"
The conclusion to the trilogy consists of "The Seed of Blanc Aile," directly continuing from The Labyrinth of Grisaia's main route. Beginning with the protagonist's sudden disappearance, the story quickly moves toward a dramatic climax, with all the answers revealed at last. Additional contents include "Prologue de la Grisaia," a side story that depicts the five heroines' arrival at Mihama Academy, and their time there prior to the arrival of Kazami Yuuji.
If this project is successfully funded, we plan to release localized PC ports of the Vita versions of the Grisaia trilogy in English, fully voiced in Japanese as both a digital download and as a physical copy! The Vita port includes new scenes and CGs from the two artists of Grisaia. We also prepared various Kickstarter exclusive Grisaia rewards such as hand-illustrated shikishi signboards drawn personally for you by the artists of Grisaia, Watanabe Akio and Fumio!

- $200,000 - Idol Magical Girl Chiruchiru ☆ Michiru, a spin-off game to the Grisaia series, will be licensed and localized. Like the other three games, this will be made available in both digital download and physical format.
- $240,000 - Grisaia Ports! The series will be ported to different platforms. We will be porting the game to Unity so the games can be played on Mac/Linux/Vita*

- 30% for voices and licensing

Who is Sekai Project?
We are a multinational group of fans and creators, working to promote Japanese multimedia and live content overseas. Being fans of visual novels ourselves, it is our dream to see many of the classics released in English.
Risks and challenges
Localizing the Grisaia Series is a very large undertaking. However, significant progress has already been made. We're working with the team behind a well-regarded fan translation of Grisaia no Kajitsu, which will be edited and polished for official release; work on localizing the sequels should therefore begin relatively quickly.
Sekai Project is currently managing a number of localization projects in active development. Please note that we have contracted with separate and distinct localization teams to handle each of these projects - progress should be smooth on all fronts, with no conflicts.

You will need to click the "Manage Your Pledge" button, then add in the desired amount to your existing pledge. We will be using backerkit to finalize your add-ons after the campaign is over.
As Grisaia has proved itself to be a very popular series both in Japan and overseas, we thought it would be very well-received and have a successful release in English, especially after the popularity of its anime. We hope it will be a welcome addition to the current line-up of visual novels that are available in English!
The physical version of the game for PC will be DRM-free. The digital version of the game will also be DRM-free.
As Grisaia has a CERO D rating, equivalent to an ESRB rating of M, the Grisaia trilogy is suitable for those 17+ as it may contain violence and sexual content geared towards older audiences.
