We want to make it mobile, multiplayer game for android, IOS and Windows 10. We want to make possibilities that Android users can challenge players from Windows 10 devices as well as iOS users. We want to make any user can challenge any other user. We plan to use dictionaries APIs. The game is about challenging other peoples. Also you will be able to play in single player mode. It could help to gain experience. In multiplayer mode you can compare your score with other players. You can also share your results on social media. The player will be able to get the best scores by practicing his skills and reaching reward coins. Using sum of rewarded coins, user from time to time will be able to buy letter hints. 

Game Economy:

  • Credit coins. Credits are the main in-game currency earned in matches. Credits are used to purchase letter hints.
  • In-game gold. Gold is a special in-game currency that allows you to extend your fun options. Using gold, you can buy premium account which makes you better credit payment for each match. It also allows you to manage your game avatar. You can also change your game nick name by gold.
  • Premium Account. It allows you to earn more credits for each match.
  • In-game gold and credit conversion. If you don't have enough credits to buy letter hints you can always fill up your in-game gold and exchange it to credits.

Roadmap

We have set ourselves the following milestones, which we have to do to complete our project: 

19 February 2019 - complete the preparations for the creation of the application.

10 April 2019 - end of game programming

18 April 2019 - completion of the last tests of the game

19 April 2019 - application published

About us

We are a collage students. Although we are just at the threshold of our adult career, we still keep in mind what we went through before we found ourselves here. When we were young we spent all our time for fun. But part of a time we spent on a learning. It's a part of our time that we irrevocably waste. It's a time, when our interest, inspirations and hobbies change too. The young people often search for newer and newer experiences. Our generation has been dominated by virtual world and computer games. Nearly every one of us have got a smartphone. This is our main entertainment. Our parents and other adults don't see anything good with it. We understood after a time, that some choices were wrong and on some other we couldn't influence at all. Things that what we know as the interesting and wise now, in the future may come in as misleading, false and deceitful.

And it used to be better…

Our parents often repeat us "When I was at your age…". But what exactly? You had got "better" playgrounds, you spent your free time in "more interesting" forms and had "more exciting" enjoyments. It sounds sarcastic, doesn't it? Those sentences seemed to be a typical "bullshit" for us... Until latest Xmas. We discovered games like Stuffed Ribs, Decrypting the proverbs, Metamorphosis and Jotto strategy. We got inspired by book: "Spiele mit Bleistift und Papier" made by Herbert Schwinghammer. Book contains 101 games that include 26 where you play with words.

Why should you help us?

Because we are young, full of enthusiasm and we know what we want to do - what you will see below. The project concerns all of our generation as well as ourselves, and was inspired by your generation. We want to adapt to our digital world the elements of timeless entertainment, which for generations has been regarded as extraordinary, exciting, spirited, resolute and erudite. We operate on experience of you and previous generations.

We plan to share funds between few tasks we plan to do. The chart below shows the percentage of funds involved in particular tasks.

We will develop the application by ourselves. We have experience in mobile applications written in Xamarin environment. However, in order to achieve a high level of solution quality and low failure rate, we plan to purchase access to the application release management platform for first year (starting from 4 months before the release of the public version). This platform will also provide us with access to hundreds of physical devices on which we will be able to perform automatic tests and UI tests of application.

In case of rise more funds than we expected we will consider to hire a pros with experience in 3D graphics and Unity or other suitable solutions. All for improvements of high level of visual effects.

Graphic design of the interface (GUI) as well as promotional materials (we point that a little below) will be commissioned from freelance services based on the experience, skills and creativity of people from all over the world. To this purpose, we will organize by so-called contest projects, which guarantee us a selection of proposals from among the many offers submitted by various contractors, which meets our objectives. This is a specific kind of cooperation, but it is irreplaceable in creative works because we will pay only for what suits for us.  We would like to point that some of our prizes give you the opportunity to vote on the selection of the above mentioned proposals from freelancer's crowd.

For deployment we chose Microsoft Azure environment and services such as App Center and Notification Hubs. The annual cost of this services is in very good relation to other solutions from market, beside they don't have ready-made integration services (unlike Azure), which will be used by our application.

We plan to distribute applications through dedicated stores such as Google Play, Microsoft Store or App Store. In order to do so, we plan to pay for the establishment of special development accounts. The amounts are strictly defined by the operators of the store.

The distribution channels mentioned by us have a lot of different applications and games. In order to exist in such a dense environment, we have to pay a tribute to the idols of subjects - to buy the advertisement. We have already mentioned promotional materials - they will be used to create advertising campaigns closely related to the distribution channels selected by us.

Risks and challenges

From our analyses and consultations, we have identified risks that we will have to face:
"Combining multiple games into one application"
We want to do it in form of independent game modes. In a situation when specific mode does not match to the audience, this approach will allow us to disable or replace the mode with another new one.

"No understanding of the logic of the game"
We are planning to add simple instructional animations that will inform users, how to play. In case of ineffectiveness of a given animation, we want to replace it with another one. For this purpose, we intend to use special mechanisms of user behaviour research.

"No hit with the interface design"
Sometimes little details could break the design of the application interface and will make it not appeal to users or will not be clear enough for them. This problem face even the biggest ones. We believe that we are, to some extent, prepared for it by choosing the mode of graphic design orders in the form of competition works. If interface picked by us will not be user-friendly, we will always be able to go back to our rejected proposals and easily evolve to a more adequate design. Of course, it is associated with costs, but these should be much lower than in the case of creating an interface from scratch.

"The game may be forgotten after several games"
Sometimes it happens that in our phones we have many applications that we haven't used for a long time or we use it really rarely. Our application can end similarly. Therefore, we would like to use a non-invasive and non-intrusive method of communication with users encouraging them to continue participating in the game. Our assumptions will be based on generally accepted standards and so-called "good practices".
