Rebels of Ravenport is a light card drafting game for 2 to 6 players. Take back your town from invading monsters, and recruit new rebels to join your guild. The game is won by the first player to defeat The Overlord, or whoever has the most points when time runs out!
Planned final box dimensions:
8.5 inches x 5.5 inches x 1.75 inches
21.5 cm x 12.7 cm x 4.5 cm
Three modes of play
Standard Mode: The game is played with a standard array of monsters. Each monster is available to be fought by any player on any round. The monsters cannot be manipulated in Standard Mode.
Intermediate Mode: In this mode, players are also competing over the monsters they fight. The monsters are displayed on cards. Defeated monster cards go in a discard pile, and are replaced with the next card from the monster deck. Players can also use their Tome of Influence to discard any visible monster card. The Goblin and The Overlord are left exposed to be attacked on any round, and cannot be manipulated.
Advanced Mode: This mode is setup like Intermediate Mode, but the monster cards are flipped to the side with the monster effects showing. Seven of these monster effects will trigger when a player attacks and defeats the monster. Three of the effects trigger when a player attacks but fails to defeat the monster. The Tome of Influence card may be used to flip a monster card to the standard side (without a power) instead of discarding a card from the board.
Double Sided Guild Leaders
Players may individually choose to use their Guild Leaders on Side A (consistent powers) or Side B (asymmetric powers). The side remains unchanged for the entire game.
Standard Guild Leader Powers (side A): You gain 1 Reputation token whenever another player rolls a specific number.
Guild Leader B-1 Power: Once per attack you may flip one die to the opposite side.
Guild Leader B-2 Power: You deal +1 total damage versus the Demoness and +2 total damage versus The Overlord.
Guild Leader B-3 Power: You may buy Rebel and Artifact cards from the discard pile as if they were on the board.
Guild Leader B-4 Power: You begin the game with 9 Reputation tokens instead of 3.
Guild Leader B-5 Power: Your Artifact cards are worth twice their stated Victory Point value.
Guild Leader B-6 Power: Once per attack you may discard one to three dice to gain the same amount of Reputation tokens.

Rebels of Ravenport has two victory scenarios. Players can shift their strategies towards one or the other throughout the game. As more players build toward one victory condition, that condition becomes the more likely outcome, but also increases the competition for that path to victory.
RoR was designed as a free-for-all game without a traditional "take that" mechanic. It achieves player balance through strategy manipulation and opportunity denial. No player should ever feel singled out or ganged up on.
All production copies of Rebels of Ravenport will be manufactured by Shuffled Ink (formerly QPC). Backer copies will be delivered in bulk to the distributor, Ship Naked. Ship Naked will receive bulk shipments in their various global warehouses. They will pack the individual games and deliver them to the backers. Additional copies will be bulk shipped to Amazon.com warehouses where it will be sold for $33.00 retail.
We want to deliver this game to backers worldwide, and shipping is an expensive piece of the process. We are offering Customs-Friendly shipping to the US, Canada, the UK, the EU, and Australia. If you live in one of these locations and incur additional charges to receive your package, email a copy of your customs receipt to email@example.com and we will reimburse you via PayPal or Venmo.
Glyph Warriors - an 8 player 24"x24" grid tactical fantasy battle system with a 10-page spell book. This was the first board game that I prototyped a few years ago, spun off a game that my brother and I crafted as teenagers. Excited as I was to bring it to market, I never made it past the play testing phase. Though the game had tons of strategic decision making, it was also far too complex to hold the interest of my play testers. This experience set me on the path to create Rebels of Ravenport with the following goal in mind:
Maximum depth. Maximum simplicity.
So I endeavored to create a game that that had as much strategic decision making as possible while also able to be learned in five minutes. I officially began designing RoR late 2016 when I thought up the attack & damage mechanic. The rest of the game is built around that mechanic, and it has remained unchanged since the start. From there I began building a card drafting game and took inspiration from some of my favorites - Ascension, Machi Koro, 7 Wonders. I designed, printed, and cut out at least 10 prototypes before I got it right. With each iteration, the game played a little cleaner, more strategic, and more fun.
With the confidence of an exciting prototype at my table, I hired Von Asis to illustrate the marvelous art that you're seeing here. Von's creativity and talent were instrumental in making Rebels of Ravenport the game that it is today.
Rebels of Ravenport is illustrated by the creative and talented Von Asis. Von is a 23 year old freelance artist from the Philippines. He's created artwork for multiple tabletop games and Kickstarter projects, and was eager to bring this one to life with his unique style. We collaborated on the theme of the game, the lore, and the universe in which it will take place to give him the tools to create such memorable illustrations.
Risks and challenges
This is my first board game publication. I haven't yet experienced the processes of large scale manufacturing or global distribution. These will be the two greatest challenges for this campaign. Though some problem solving will be inevitable, I am partnered with two companies that have years of success in their fields. They have provided me with excellent customer service leading up to this point, and I have the utmost confidence that we can deliver the rewards as detailed above.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
