What is Reforge?
Reforge is a weapon crafting, battle royale card game! It combines the fun of crafting a unique blade with the polyhedral dice combat of D&D! Players start the game with a lowly wooden grip and Adventurer blade and compete on the tabletop battlefield to forge more powerful weapons with a plethora of grips, guards, and blades to power up their attack and defense, all while utilizing gadgets and shields to turn the tides of battle in their favor. The last player standing wins! For more detailed rules, scroll down a bit or watch our video!

Where did the idea come from?
The idea for Reforge came to me (Stephen) in a dream early 2019 that involved a card game where you build swords. I immediately started writing down what I saw in my dream and built off of that. The game mechanics came after as I experimented with custom made cards. After working tirelessly for a couple months, I had a product that I was happy to show to the world! After doing some conventions and demos, I'm really looking forward to getting the game into peoples hands!
I work full time in a hospital, but have always wanted to create. I haven't stopped since this idea came to me, and I don't intend to until it is realized!
About the team!
The team for Reforge includes game designer Stephen Royka and artist Sam Donez (Twixxo). After being best friends since high school, we decided to make something awesome together! Reforge is the result of decades of love for gaming and cartoon art.
I (Stephen) love videogames, with my favorites being Okami, Resident Evil 4, Hollow Knight, and Bloodborne to name a few. I work as an ultrasound tech to pay for my love of game design. I'm hoping to be able to transition into working full time on card game design for my new company Secret Boss Games someday!
Sam is an artist by hobby and trade. While he kicks ass at cartoon art, his real focus is 3D environmental design. Check out his stuff on his website, Art By Twixxo!
Why the $6,000 goal?
The initial goal is primarily to cover production costs for game and shipping costs from the factory. We are trying to keep this goal as low as possible because we really want this to get made. From the quotes we've gotten, it's looking like this will just be enough to cover all those costs. We have put tons of time, money, and effort into this project and want nothing more than to see it become a reality that people love!
And what about that $8,000 stretch goal? (Reduced from $10,000!)
If we hit that response, then every copy of Reforge purchased on the Kickstarter will include four sets of polyhedral dice! You need dice to play the game, but we have a solution just in case we don't reach that stretch goal. A webapp will be available for free that acts as a companion for Reforge to keep track of health and roll attack die! The app is currently in development, but a preview of its functionality can be seen here. We really want to ship the game with dice for a complete experience (and we know most people would prefer the feel of real dice!) so we really hope we can reach this goal!
We recently received new quotes from manufacturing facilities, so we will be able to bring Reforge to everyone with dice if we reach our stretch goal of $8,000!

Thank you to all the generous Tier 7 backers! Here are the Final Blades that they came up with that will be included in every copy of Reforge!
Risks and challenges
Fortunately, the project is already completed! We have been doing demos and tournaments around Southwest Florida with great responses! The only thing needed is funding to produce it. A few of our rewards require a lot of work from our artist, so there will be challenges in getting all of the rewards out quickly depending on the number sold. Collaborating with all of our higher tier backers is going to be a lot of work, but we love you all and will make sure you are all happy with your custom made rewards!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
