Glad to hear it, I'll add that to my wishlist!

      Hi Dan Teh Chad,
Thanks for the support! We're still planning on releasing this to Steam. We aren't positive if we'll do professional or volunteer translations, and our timeline will be a little longer, but definitely still hoping to finish soon. Please click the link to the Steam page and if you Follow & Wishlist it, you should get notified when it's finished.
      Thanks again!

Sorry to see the result here. Do you have any plans to fund/produce this outside of Kickstarter?

      Hi Sean,

thanks for the quick reply. I would imagine that each rule would require specific code, so no big deal if that is outside the scope of the project. I guess one can always do ones own tallying outside the game.

      Hi Kai,
Thanks for the support and it's great to see another Lost Cities fan here!

Having customizations for the kind of house-rules you suggested would require actually reprogramming for each customization. In the past, we've had settings for extremely popular variations (such as the "Tournament Rules" in Hive) but for more individualized things (like programming extra pieces or having a different flow to change the win-conditions) that's unfortunately an inherently complicated problem that would require you to write code for each variant. We don't have any plans for a modding system of that type, so that's not likely to be something we'll support. Sorry about that! It would be cool if we could give that sort of flexibility to people, it's just not something that's feasible at this time.

If you have any other ideas, keep 'em coming! It's great to have feedback, and thanks again for supporting the project!

Glad to hear you're excited about the Linux version as well. It's not a huge group that uses Linux, but they've been some of the nicest community around.

I love the card game, and the prospect to play it over the internet with friends or family is reason enough to back! :-)

For people that might not know Lost Cities, it is kind of a spiritual predecessor to the board game Keltis, but for two players only. For me, it's one of the best two-player games I ever came across.

A question though: will this adaptation only support the official rules/game mode? Or is there some way to customize? We've got a couple of house rules, like winner is the first to reach a predefined amount of points, or the first to win 4 games without taking the actual score into account, etc. and it would be nice if those were supported :-).

Oh, also great to see that this will support Linux! All the best to the campaign!
