Only 5 days left...

Hi Folks!

Wanted to send a quick note to you all, as previous supporters of Safecast, that our current kickstarter campaign has only 5 days left and is unfortunately quite short of our goal. We need all the help we can get right now:

www.kickstarter.com/projects/seanbonner/kickstarter-gold-safecast-bgeigie-raku

We've added some exciting new reward levels that include going to Fukushima with the Safecast team and helping take measurements. This is available individually or as a couple and could make an incredibly memorable trip. That is in addition to the release of our newest and most advanced bGeigie device yet. Among other things.

In the last 6 years Safecast has become the most trusted provider of the largest open radiation data set ever (or not open for that matter) and that's only been possible because of the support from our community. Please help us continue with this mission going forward. Thank you.

A new kickstarter, a new bGeigie!

Hi backers!

Wanted to give you a heads up on our brand new kickstarter that we just launched for the bGeigie Raku! This is an update to the existing bGeigie kit design that is snap together (no need for soldering) and has a larger display, more processing power, Bluetooth, etc. we're very excited to announce it. We've also got early bird offers and some very cool challenge coins as backer rewards - we think you'll appreciate them. Check it out!

In the wild

As people start getting their devices it's been fantastic so see the reactions and tests people have been doing with them. Above Glenn Langton made a cool video showing a test he did at home. Another backer, Edouard Lafargue made this fantastic Onyx Data Visualizer to help show off some of the data that is being collected by the device. We're seeing submissions to the Safecast Database and those are beginning to show up on our map as well. Keep it up!

More than half shipped!
