Why write a book?
I think there is a lot of power in story telling, and characters that can be seen as universal really have a chance to bring meaning to all lives. Every kid can see themselves in an animal character (either because they have one or know one or just find them adorable!).
What Faye Loves rhymed. Does this book rhyme, too?
Yes! I harken back to my days as a kid reading Dr. Seuss or Where the Sidewalk Ends, and there is something magical about a rhyming scheme. It helps implant it in your memory and can even help aid in learning to read, because it positions your brain towards words that fit the schema! Plus, when done right (and I believe this is) - it's just fun!
