Ashlynn leaves a life of chaos behind for the safety and structure of an underground sanctuary. When her and her mother are chosen to move into the underground city, Camden, they're both thrilled. Fresh produce made in technologically advanced greenhouses, safety from the warlords and sandmen, no worries about fatal power outages.
She can get a job, make friends, and even find love...
Things were looking great.
At least, until everything fell apart.
A storm rips through the town on the surface, and causes a good deal of chaos underground. The community is split, everyone they may have known up there could be dead. Yet, the mayor keeps the doors shut tight and refuses to send aid or take anyone in.
Protests turn into riots, and a budding paranoia about outside forces might not be misplaced. Now Ashlynn has to deal with sabotage, uprisings, and might lose the stability she had only just gotten used to.
Make choices and deal with the consequences.

When I created Pinewood Island I funded it completely by myself. Unfortunately As We Know It has grown in scale so that if I tried to fund it myself it would triple the timeline, and the longer I have to wait to commission assets the more things that can go wrong. The game is considerably longer, and more involved than Pinewood Island. I've also taken steps to increase the overall quality of As We Know It in every way. It's important to me that I can make a game that is memorable as well as enjoyable for the players, and crowd-funding can make that happen.

Risks and challenges
Every project comes with risks and challenges. Things come up that you can't possibly plan for. Projects get delayed, and worse-case-scenario are even cancelled.
I have a family that includes a small child that requires my attention. I am ready and able to work full-time on the game, but there can be complications that I can't predict. Illness, freelancers backing out and having to take time to find replacements, and technical difficulties.
From my experience working on Pinewood Island I am confident I can overcome anything that I have to face. I have taken precautions to prevent as much as I can and will keep on top of everything to ensure that production of As We Know It is as smooth as possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
