@Barry we have hit a wall that is taking a some time to solve. There is a national shortage of Helium and it is almost impossible acquire some at the moment as helium sales are being rationed and prioritized. We have about 3/4 of the amount we need and may have enough on Wednesday of this week. So, long story short, we may launch this weekend or next at this point. Everything else is coming along very well. I'll post an update today or tomorrow with more detail.
Did you manage to launch over the weekend or are you going for the 28th now? Hope the preparations have went well.
You go, girls! Very neat project, and it looks like you have all the funds you need to get it off the ground!
I'm gathering feedback from the entire project team so we can post a big Thank you status update this Sunday so stay tuned.
Congratulations on making your goal & the very best of luck with the project, I cant wait to see the results.

This is great, love seeing kids getting interested in space & science!
Yes, they do! We will be using the Kickstarter.com project pages for updates as well as using their own website called www.edgeandback.com. We will begin using the website a lot more as the project progresses. So please do come check it out and remotely participate along with the team.
I'm so excited to see kids excited about space! If you guys have any sort of blog or site showing your progress and stuff please let me know, I'd love to follow along!
@Trammell, We are planning using an IR intervalometer trigger like this one - http://www.gentles.ltd.uk/gentled/auto.htm - We are open to other options. If you see any potential issues with this please let us know so we can address them.
Congratulations on making your goal! Please let me know if you need any help with the camera hacking. Be sure to check on the Sony 5N's timelapse capability -- it doesn't have an external trigger input.
