About this project
Thank you for visiting our Kickstarter page. With your support we plan to make the psychological thriller Schizo into a feature film you and many others will enjoy.
Schizo is about a schizophrenic girl with serious boyfriend issues. She writes a stage play as a form of therapy, hence creating her ideal man on the page. But when this fictional character comes to life and invades her day to day world, he drives her to plot a murder against the abusive boyfriend she has in real life.
If you enjoyed our Kickstarter video, please show it to your friends and help us spread the word. If we get the greenlight from supporters like you we plan to finish post-production of Schizo at the beginning of 2012 and enter the film in several festivals.
Why do we need your support?
We want to raise the money to begin production on our feature film. Our $60,000 dollar goal is not a lot of money by the standards of your average independent feature. If you want to enjoy the rewards offered, remember any size pledge amount is welcomed. We sincerely believe that if everyone within our reach donates something we will attain our financial goal, otherwise we would not be doing this. You can greenlight our production by taking the time to make a pledge.
Where does the money we raise go?
It goes directly into the film budget and will cover the costs of the production (locations, cast, crew, meals, etc). All the money we raise will go on the screen (minus the fees for Kickstarter’s involvement).
Where can I learn more about the film?
We have a website: www.schizothefilm.com . You can read more about the film, the filmmakers, and view commercials recently completed by the Schizo production team. Make sure to return to the website regularly for updated information throughout the Kickstarter fundraising process. We want to keep all of you involved with what we’re doing.
Will my pledge amount be displayed on Kickstarter?
No. The amount is anonymous. That information is only viewable to you and the project creator.
Can we exceed the financial goal?
Yes. That would be super! We are dedicated to making the most entertaining and highest quality film possible. The more funds we raise, the more tools we’ll have available to do just that.
Can I make a pledge if I don’t want to receive the reward?
Yes. There is a button you can select if you choose not to accept the reward.
Can I gift my reward package?
Yes. Some of our rewards make fine gifts. Go through the normal pledge donation process in your name. This must be done for billing purposes. Then after the deadline, we will contact you directly through the email address you have provided on Kickstarter. Please reply with the person’s information you plan to gift the reward to. We will contact them immediately.
Can I increase my pledge after it has been made?
Yes. After you make a pledge, you can change your reward to another, or increase your pledge amount. To do this: sign in to Kickstarter and go to our campaign page – the green “Back This Project” button will be replaced with a blue “Manage Your Donation” button. Hit that button and you can enter a new amount and/or choose a new reward.
What else can I do to support the film after I make a pledge?
A whole lot! Help get the word out. You can promote the project by sending the Kickstarter link to your friends via email and social networking.
When can I redeem my reward?
Some rewards are redeemable immediately (website credits, IMDB credits, phone calls). But most rewards will be redeemed in stages because of their availability (screenings, DVDs, film credits, photo books, parties). Check our website to see when they are ready to be released.
What happens if the financial goal isn’t raised before the deadline?
Nothing happens. No money changes hands and the film is not made. Eek! But if enough of you lend your support we can definitely keep this from happening.
Can we contact you?
Yes. By all means. Go to our contacts page on our website: www.schizothefilm.com We’ll get right back to you!
Have a question? If the info above doesn't help, you can ask the project creator directly.
