Jamie is missing and the stakes couldn't be higher. Her brother Ryan and friend Colin discovered that a Manson-esque cult thought to be long gone may have resurfaced in all of its creepy-crawling glory. But is it cult members who have been breaking into their apartment and filming them while they’re sleeping? Could Callie, a “New Family” escapee and Colin’s girlfriend, have something to do with Jamie’s disappearance? Ryan will stop at nothing to find his sister. And he needs your help. Jamie is Missing! Help us find her!

The L.A. Macabre Season 1 Teaser

We cannot make this second season without your pledge! Our producers are masters at squeezing the most out of a dollar, so you can rest assured your investment in the project will be used to great effect. Season One was done on a shoestring budget of $9,622, with our actors and most of the crew deferring their pay. To take Season Two out of the apartment, we need money. Going out into the world means clearing permits, securing locations, hiring crew, and making sure our series will be around in the future by utilizing some of the latest production technology available. Our cast is incredibly talented, our crew is made up of seasoned industry veterans, and our story is not to be missed. But nothing happens without your financial support! Here are just some of the things your pledge will help fund: Blackmagic URSA Mini cameras - Filming the production in the latest 4k resolution will ensure that the story can be distributed to the largest platforms including Amazon Prime, Netflix and Hulu+. Lenses - Great lenses will give the cameras the best possible images to record. Visual Effects Camera/Dolly Equipment Lights Locations and permits Props Wardrobe Sound Equipment Stunts Crew Feeding as many as 30 people twice a day for several days And that's just to get the footage! After that, we'll need to pay for post-production, editing, sound design, mastering, color correction, ADR, festival submission fees, and the list goes on and on!

We know how to stretch our dollars. Our production team has had a combined 60+ years of experience producing independent content and getting the most for our money. Our producers and director are working for deferred pay. Our cast and crew are working on the state minimums for their jobs, far below their regular day rates. Why? Because they believe in the show and are committed to making it the best thriller in the new media space! How You Can Help: Donations are the most direct way to help us out, but there's another way you can help us save Jamie: Spread the Word! Tell your friends about the Kickstarter. Tell your family! Show them that you've pledged your support and we'll do the same! From $10 to $10,000, we've got a perk to fit your comfort level. Your pledge is greatly appreciated and we cannot thank you enough for helping us make this fantastic second season! If you own a business and would like to become a sponsor, we have perks for that, too, so send us a message for more information!

Andy designed and animated the opening credit sequence for "Claire", "L.A. Macabre Season 1", and can't wait for people to see what we have in store for season 2.

It all started with The Crow. The moment Richard saw the montage sequence of Eric Draven preparing his war paint for the task at hand, he realized he wanted everything to do with movies. In an attempt to tap into the movie business he started two podcasts in 2013: The Cinephile Network and Disturbing Talks - one for movies and the other for horror (respectively). Established in 2013, Disturbing Talks, was created in conjunction with the website www.Trulydisturbing.com, where Richard began to write reviews, field reports, and produce/host the podcast.

Kacy is a writer, actress, designer, dancer and more from Bristol, TN. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of East Tennessee State University, with a B.A. honors degree in Theatre and Dance, she was a part of the Fine and Performing Art Scholars Program in the Honors College on full scholarship. She was awarded the Murvin H. Perry Creative Achievement Award from the university for her thesis work. Additionally, she gained two Irene Ryan acting nominations for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.

Ruthi is a recent graduate of The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where she earned her MFA in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media. Hailing from St. Louis, MO, she moved out to Los Angeles a bit over a year ago to complete her masters and work in film development. She currently writes audio description for the visually impaired and is developing several creative projects in addition to producing the second season of LA Macabre.

Stephanie was born and raised in the surrounding suburbs of Chicago. Having a passion to tell not only her own story but others as well, she studied film at Columbia College. She spends her time between writing, producing, and art department. Recent work includes Tales of Halloween, The Chair, Wake Up! television talk show, IAWTV Awards 2015, Filmmaker Road Show and now LA Macabre! When not working, she is an avid supporter of the "adopt, don't shop" and "don't bully me breed" movements.

Kayla graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts from Drew University, and bravely moved to New York City during the polar vortex of 2014 to pursue an acting career. She first discovered her love of storytelling when she was required to play Gloria Estefan in an elementary school play. She accidentally crazy-glued fake nails to her fingers for the part, but to this day, it was worth it. Kayla is currently an Executive Producer for a new webseries called Wonder, and will be playing a calculating character named Janet. When she isn’t working or spending hours in coffee shops for production meetings, she can be found visiting home in Newport, Rhode Island, hunting down the perfect mac and cheese recipe, and doing a mean Joan Cusack impression for anyone who will listen. Kayla is thrilled to join the core team of LA Macabre, and can’t wait to see season 2 become a reality!

Risks and challenges
It's always tough raising money and we, the content creators who are in need of funding, are perpetually teetering on the edge of not being able to achieve our goals and dreams of producing the content we desire and the level we envision due to money. There is a risk of asking for money and there are challenges along the path of executing our dream of being able to bring Season 2 of LA Macabre to the world.
All of the challenges ahead of us are positive ones. A challenge to raise the money we need to push the envelope in the digital landscape with Season 2 and when we meet our goal (or exceed it), there will be an exciting challenge ahead to produce it - with a larger cast, more locations and the pressure we have put on ourselves as content creators to hit a higher mark with stronger and more riveting production value.
