Flip and Find run a Diner that is in complete chaos. Orders are pouring in, and they can’t remember where they put their ingredients! In this memory game, players flip tiles to find the ingredients to complete orders. More difficult orders are worth more money, but if you can find a tip tile along with your ingredients, you can pocket some extra cash. Filling an order also gives you a one-time-use special ability, and the tougher the recipe, the better the reward.
Go for easy orders to end the game quickly? Or tackle those tough customers and tack on tips for a bigger payout?
Whatever strategy you choose, at Flip & Find’s diner, fun is always on short order!
Flip & Find's Diner plays 1-4 players, and takes 15-30 minutes to play.
All backers of the physical game will also receive this Kickstarter-Exclusive Promo Card!
If the campaign reaches $9,000 in funding, we'll be upgrading the order and tip cards to have a linen finish, for smoother shuffling and that oh-so-luxurious feeling in your hands.
If the campaign reaches $10,250 in funding, we'll be adding a UV spot finish to the box, to really make the artwork pop!
On your turn, you flip over 4 tiles from the grid.
If the ingredients revealed match the ingredients required for one of the orders, you collect that order and the money along with it.
Order cards also include a special ability, which will be available for a one-time use on a future turn.
If you reveal a tip tile along with the ingredients to complete a recipe, collect a tip card, the value of which you will keep secret until the end of the game.
Tiles used to complete orders are replaced, and completed order cards are replaced with new orders.
Once a player has filled 5 orders, you finish out that round and add up everyone's money to see who earned the most!

Gerald King III is founder of the Ultimate Team-Up community that features a series of regular events that work to connect game designers with the resources they need to test their games and successfully bring them to market whether through crowdfunding or traditional publishing; it was through these events that he designed Flip & Find's diner and put it through extensive iterative playtesting. Original Bellevue PAX attendee turned proud [E]. Husband to his amazing wife Sarah and father to his tribe.
Todd Jakubisin started his illustration career in 2009 by drawing comic strips at Cleveland Scene magazine. He has since illustrated for Gray&Co. Publishers, St. Martin’s Press, Thirsty Dog Brewing Co., displayed work at coffee shops and museums around Northeast Ohio, and has even independently published a couple of picture books.
He grew up playing cards for the most part; games like Euchre and Rummy. While he enjoyed the classic board and party games, it wasn’t until his adult life that he really experienced what the world of table top games really had to offer! It’s been a thrill and a privilege to be able to contribute to such wonderful thing.
Risks and challenges
Nearly all artwork has already been completed, with the exception of a few action illustrations, the back of the box, and the layout of the rules booklet. The game has been playtested extensively over a 2-year period, so the risks lie mainly in the realms of manufacturing and fulfillment. We successfully delivered our first game, "Pests!" on time, so we have experience with the logistics and challenges associated with making a board game.
We are members of the Indie Game Alliance, and as such have a large, experienced network of game designers and publishers who have directed us towards highly rated manufacturers and fulfillment companies. As a graphic designer by trade, Spontaneously Combustible Games founder Michael McFarland has years of experience preparing artwork for printing and manufacturing, which should help mitigate potential production hiccups.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
