It's Super Effective has been around since July of 2010. Since then... our small Pokémon based show has won awards, created huge events, and broken into the top tier of audio services like iTunes and Stitcher Radio.
Everything up to this point has been funded out of pocket. Hosting fees, server fees, and service fees all add up over the years. PKMNcast has sold many cool shirts in this time but never really recovered much from them due to set up costs and printing fees. None of this has really mattered because the It's Super Effective community is incredible and has supported us all the way. Now, I am asking for some money, so I can make the PKMNcast site and the It's Super Effective podcast Mega-evolve into something bigger and better!
Our goal is simple. I would like to raise $5,000 to lock in 100 more episodes for our listeners. In doing so, we are striving for more content and better sounding shows.
With the funds raised, I can pay for the website servers, podcast servers, domain renewals, and other internet-related fees that occur from running the show. More importantly, I can provide the regular guests on the show with better equipment for recording. This equipment would range from microphones to pop-filters to shock mounts. The rest of the money will go to producing the rewards. Any remaining funds will go to travel for public events that raise awareness of It's Super Effective such as the Midwest Gaming Classic, C2E2, and (hopefully) PAX.

This 8 minutes was a pulled from the news section of our show (Episode 138). It was BEFORE Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire was announced. This shows the strength of our chemistry and our bad jokes!

The Rewards Part
Tier #9, #10, and #11 are all sponsor level rewards. Please contact us before you pledge. If you want your product, service, or media advertised on our show, we'd love to hear about it before you click that pledge button. We have the right to say "no" to something we don't feel comfortable advertising. We have ran ads for Squarespace, Foot Cardigan, and Image & Form (creators of SteamWorld Dig) in the past.
We introduced 4 Stretch Goals to help further fund It's Super Effective without delaying the initial goals.
The first goal is pretty straight forward... we badly draw Pokémon and tweet them daily - hopefully to bring a smile to your face. The second goal is that every backer $10+ or high will get TWO exclusive Kickstarter-only episodes instead of one.
The third goal is to raise enough money to buy a 3DS Capture Kit and software/hardware to stream Pokémon games in the future. If we can hit this, we can plan a once a week nightly stream of Pokémon (or more). Finally the last goal is to reserve a venue for a 3rd art show. Everyone wants another show to take place, and we need money to rent a venue to start preparing!

Risks and challenges
I have Kickstarted two projects, both which succeeded their goals by over 300%. These projects, of course, were not flaw free. With that being said, every backer helped create two awesome projects and got some cool stuff for doing so... that stuff was just delivered a bit late.
This project should be fairly easy to complete. I've ran the show for 4+ years. So recording, editing, and publishing another 100 episodes with new guests should be simple.
The only possible issues could relate to the rewards being delivered in time. All the rewards have been items I've provided in the past. With that being said, I already have established relationships with the places I order from.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
