Stretch Goal #1: UNLOCKED !!!
Every print issue of Smore will now include a pullout POSTER, a beautiful piece of science and art worthy of being framed and hung on your walls.
Smore is a new kind of science magazine created so that curious girls everywhere continue to stay interested in science and grow up to be confident, brilliant and successful women in science and technology. This magazine is targeted to girls ages 7-12 but appeals to all interested in science.
"It’s not hard for a young girl to name her favorite music or film star, but having a strong presence of real life STEM role models will no doubt have a profound effect on their identity and choices."
"Getting Smore will cost you more than the average magazine subscription but keep in mind that the magazine will be ad-free, removing yet another pitfall into the kind of messages girls are being sent."
"It’s beautiful, interesting, and sure to be a big hit with tween girls!
"We love how engaging Smore's content is for a younger audience. We believe comic-style magazine articles can make a huge difference by making science relevant for kids!"
"Celebrating The Intelligence of Millennial Girls With Smore’s Kickstarter Campaign"
Many young girls fail to see any role models in their areas of interest.
Smore wants children to be inspired by the articles they read and communicate their thoughts and ideas to us so we can share them with other fellow readers through Smore Club. So, we are not only creating a community of subscribers but a community of creative thinkers and innovators of tomorrow that learn and grow together.
From interesting stories behind famous scientists of the past to hot new scientific breakthroughs happening right now to cool, ripping edge innovations that are on the way; SMORE will cover it all.
We are asking for your support to help spread the news about Smore. Support us by sharing this page. And in return, we give you the complete PDF of "Meet the Mushroom Messengers" article from Issue 1. Not only do you get to read the fun article but you get a good feeling knowing you are making it possible for others to learn about this magazine!

Risks and challenges
Engaging content, amazing illustrations and a reliable publication and distribution system are key factors for our magazine.
As a scientist and a small business owner of a children's science enrichment program, I believe I possess the required skills and experience to be able to create and communicate topics that are engaging, fun and educational for children. I have also picked some of the most passionate and experienced writers and illustrators as part of the team. So each issue of this magazine is sure to reflect that labor of love.
Most of the articles in the first issue of Smore are complete. A few sections remain to be illustrated that will be finished following the successful completion of the Kickstarter campaign. The topics and content for the remaining 5 issues are already outlined. We have identified internationally established digital and print publishers for the magazine.
We are fully prepared to handle the creation of this magazine and we are confident that you will love SMORE.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
