Kings Point Upcoming Screenings

Hello All,

There will be a number of public screenings of Kings Point this summer. I would be so thrilled for you to experience the film on a big screen, in a theater with other people. The film will be showing in the Bay Area, in New York City, and in Los Angeles.

Here in the Bay Area, we will be part of the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, with 3 screenings, in the Castro Theater on July 26, and the following week in Palo Alto and in Berkeley. I will be at the Castro and we will be having a celebration afterwards, so I'd love to see you there. For tickets, go to:

The film will also be included in the International Documentary Association's showcase called Docuweeks. This means we will have a real commercial run in New York, at the IFC Center, and Los Angeles, at Laemmle Noho 7! In New York, we will be there from August 3 - 9. And in LA, from August 10 - 17. For tickets and showtimes, go to:

We are part of the Shorts Program 1.

Please let me know if you can make any of these screenings. I would love to see you and thank you in person for your support.

All my best,

KIngs Point wins award at Silverdocs festival!

My dear Kickstarter supporters,

I am thrilled to let you know that this weekend Kings Point was awarded the grand jury prize for best short film at the very prestigious Silverdocs film festival. There were 41 shorts in competition, so this is really quite an honor.

We have a work-in-progress website up, too.

Check in for future screenings, press coverage and more while we develop the site further. All your names will be listed soon, so please be patient.

Thank you thank you thank you for all your support. Your donations and your love came at a crucial point in the process, and this film would not be out there in the world if it weren't for you.

All my best,

WE MADE IT!!! Thank you!!!!

Dear friends and family,

Wow! We did it. Thanks to all of you, we made our goal and then some. This past Sunday, the Kickstarter campaign we launched back in October for
Kings Point ended and when it was all said and done, we had raised $10,165!

As many of you know, when I first decided to do this campaign, I was very uncomfortable with the idea of reaching out to all of you asking for donations to help me finish my film. But the love and support I've received since I began has been truly touching. Whether you gave a little or a lot, I am overwhelmed with the feeling that you cared enough to give because you really wanted to see me realize this project. Young, middle aged, or aging, I am making this film for ALL of you.

In the end, we were able to reach our target because I received donations from so many people including many I didn't even know which is a testament to all of the effort and hard work my friends, family and colleagues put in helping to spread the word about the film and campaign everywhere! For those of you who are in that group that are now my new friends, I will be reaching out to you not only say thank you but to say hi as well!

As we move forward with the editing of
Kings Point, I will keep you posted periodically with developments on the film here but please also bookmark or subscribe to my website, blog, twitter or the Kings Point Facebook page for more regular updates. Stay tuned because the best is still yet to come!

For me, personally, 2011 promises to bring great things. I sincerely hope the same for all of you.

Much love and thanks again,

-- Sari

Less Than A Week To Go On Our Kickstarter Campaign!

Happy New Year from Sari and the Kings Point Team,

We hope you had a fantastic holiday break. And thanks again to all of you for donating to our Kickstarter campaign.

It has been a great success so far but as we enter the final stretch, we still have a ways to go.

Unfortunately, if we don't raise at least the $10,000 we set as our target campaign goal, none of your pledges will be processed, we won't receive anything and everyone's hard work and generosity will have been for naught. So please reach out to your friends & family and let them know about Kings Point. With less than a week to go before the campaign ends, if you have been thinking about doing this, now is the time!

Contributions to the campaign can be made by clicking this link: so please forward it to anyone you know who loves documentaries and/or supports the arts.

Exciting things are in store for Kings Point this year. For more details, feel free to email me or visit my website at

Again, thanks for all of your love & support and all the best for 2011,

-- Sari
