Where are we now?
My husband Colin and I have moved on from windy Cape Town to tropical Bali, Indonesia. You can't huck a rock here without hitting some gorgeous stone temple, or take ten steps without tripping over a tiny woven offering basket with flowers and bits of rice and herbs. Everything's a work of art. Even rice paddies, cow sheds, and roadside stands, like art is so ingrained in the culture that people can't make something that isn't beautiful. So it's beautiful, it's peaceful, and it's boring.
The perfect work environment!
I've set my sights on a PC/Steam release in April and iOS/Android in May. There's still so much to do, but I've got an army of beta testers to help! Want to join them?
In version 0.75 I added heaps of new events including 20 new random ones, main leader dating and marriage, a dozen new recruiting events and 40 mini quests that replace the old schmoozing dice roll during Meet With missions. You've got to work to earn an alliance now.
By popular demand I've also added Steam achievements (Cheevos!), a crazily huge Epic map size and settings modification via an external config file. If the config file works out, this may be the start of game mods and Steam Workshop integration. See the forums for more info.

Since I'm hoping to wind down development soon, I've put up a survey to see how you feel about the game so far. Does it feel nearly finished to you? What's still missing / broken that you absolutely need to see done soon? Respond here.
Today is optimization day! We're cracking our knuckles and trying to get that framerate down. Colin sped up map dragging by 10x. Soon Epic maps won't be so epically laggy. This will have big effects on the mobile version.
Also more events, tweaks to faction combat, new character art, and probably actually starting to roll out the campaign. Really. Maybe. If you're excited to be one of the first to check it out, get on the Steam testing branch and join the discussion boards.
