We dared, and you said, "go."
I want to say something eloquent right now. I want to make you feel as we do: as if every nagging voice that said, "this is impossible" has been quieted for years, as if life had resolved out of blur into sharp focus, as if several dozen of your best friends from across the world had appeared from every direction, headed toward your door, with smiles from cheek to cheek and fresh-picked flowers and just-popped bottles of champagne.
As if a dream had leapt out of the first-light haze of your brain and crept up to your bed and whispered into your ear, "sweetheart. It's real. It's possible. It is happening right now."
We made the goal, thanks to all of you and the others who linked and posted and cheered. We are so grateful we can't even "like" anymore, our fingers are aching. Oh, we'll keep liking. We can't help it.
(Keep giving, if you will; we have lots of words to come and paper to put them on. But let's not worry about that right now. Let's just CHEER.)
