Fostering pregnancy empowerment through healing, learning, nurturing, and celebration
My name is Sarah Denio and I am founding a business called KindNest. KindNest will support and empower women and couples by gathering in one spot the best resources for nourishing mind, body and spirit while nurturing pregnancy, trying to conceive, or healing from pregnancy loss. We are unique in that we offer these resources in a centralized location, filling a void by supporting all phases on the journey to parenthood. There's nothing like it in the area (or anywhere, really)!
Over the last few years, through the loss of several pregnancies, I learned firsthand the power of healing and self-empowerment following pregnancy-related challenges. Now the mother to two healthy daughters, I am prepared to help others on their journey. I am seeking your support in getting this business off the ground.
KindNest will be a destination, a welcoming community where women and couples can grow through self-love and compassion, heal fear and anxiety, attract and embody their desired vision of the future, and celebrate their accomplishments. Our offerings are intended to be utilized alongside those provided by a traditional medical professional. We aim to make it easy for clients to locate high-quality pregnancy- and fertility-related services provided by alternative practitioners and instructors.

More than just a business, we are a movement. Heal. Renew. Nurture. With KindNest.
It's well-known that the early stages of a startup are the most precarious, and having enough cash on hand to keep the doors open as momentum builds is a real challenge for most. Funds raised here will be utilized to get KindNest off the ground and sustain throughout the initial growing pains, including everything from the physical location to supplies and equipment to marketing and technology, so we can focus on the real work of fostering healing and empowerment in the community.
The plans have been well-formulated; the time has come for action. Will you help empower others to achieve their family-building dreams by investing in KindNest?
Risks and challenges
KindNest is a unique business with quite a few moving parts. The idea is to empower the average woman and couple in all matters pregnancy by centralizing alternative pregnancy-related resources in one physical location.
Classes and workshops will be scheduled mindfully with sensitivity to the needs of all clients so, for example, women who are pregnant aren't met by those in grief and vice versa.
As we search for and secure lease of 3000-3500 square feet of space in which this magic will happen, the back-of-the-house activities are well under way. We are preparing to be able to get word out, once the location has been finalized, opening class registrations and individual treatment schedules so that the doors will open with momentum and buzz of activity.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
