It's great that the project funded, and if we reach $ 105,000 we will also have funded the restoration of those beautiful, 700-years old doors. Let's do it!

    21. Alexp on December 19, 2014

A little more than 2000 dollars to the stretch goal of getting the wooden doors restored, too... Let's try to reach it, with a tweet or Facebook post to let our friends know!

Thank you @Matthew Pyle - we are thrilled too about the corporate donor! For privacy reasons we can't reveal who it is until the campaign is over and they put their logo on the scaffolding :)

Thank you @MiGarba and @VisitFlorence for your wonderful support.

And @MarcoBadiani with whom it has been a pleasure to work :)

@Carlos we are happy that you had a great visit, and hope to see you again soon at Santa Croce!

#Crazyforpazzi has been an exciting adventure and it has been an honour to be part of the great group of people who launched this project on KS. I get goosebumps just thinking of all the amazing moments I have experienced while being involved in this project. Just a few dollars missing. Let's make it reality.

    30. MiGarba on December 18, 2014

We are thrilled to be part of this wonderful campaign and to have brought it a bit closer to the final goal. As a Tuscan company recently embarked on an adventure in the USA, we love the idea that something digital can give people even far away a "taste" of our territory.

It seems most of Florence is #CrazyforPazzi. It's the word on the street and among Florentines, journalists and expats. The art team at The Florentine made this fun and fabulous infographic about the campaign, Saving History for the Cost of a Cupcake. Let's all keep spreading the word and make this wonderful loggia restoration happen!

Happy to be the 500th backer. I feel I am in very good company with all the other 499 ones.
Such an important project both for the goal and the great activities around it (tours, tweetchats, improv opera...).

Response to Kathleen Comerford: Thank you being so kind to spread the word about out fundraiser. It is people like you that make a difference and it will be thanks to you if we manage to reach our goal!!

Opera di Santa Croce is registered as a non profit organization (ONLUS) in Italy and NOT in the United States. We would be happy to issue an official receipt for your generous donation, if this can be of help to you.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Twitter Chat - including @aresgames! People asked some really interesting questions that we're compiling now into a storify.
One of the most interesting was a discussion of the function of the Pazzi Chapel as a chapter house and chapel. The fact is, that's one of the mysteries of this place - we still don't know everything about it, as we wrote in our last update (here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/santacroceopera/restoration-of-pazzi-chapel-loggia-at-church-of-sa/posts/1063652)

The Florentine is on a journey, down the centuries, into the archives, towards the future of the church of Santa Croce. We are honored to have joined hands with Opera of Santa Croce for this ground-breaking project. We thank everyone for their participation and passion and look forward to doing something truly special for Florence altogether.
