About this project
Welcome employee to Samyaza Corp, here we will introduce you to the ins and outs of the company and get you acquainted with some of our staff. We are hard at work and a bit under construction, so don't mind the smell of wet paint and dust particles, we will be up and fully functioning in no time. We look forward to seeing you in the halls and hearing your ideas. We hope your time here is enjoyable.
Angelica Fleir, PR Director
Samyaza is a tabletop role-playing game setting using a mixture of cyberpunk, fantasy, and science fiction. The Samyaza setting spans from the years 1995-2230. I've built a setting that uses real world issues of today, what the 80's thought the future would look like, and some fun twists to keep you on your toes. You will be able to explore the world's newest marvel, Samyaza, the first city to take flight. Or, should you choose, fight on the ground in New York as the city rebels against it's corporate overlords. You even have the option of exploring the new Martian front in the year 2230, as the "native" life pushes back. I wanted to create a setting that was flexible and allowed my imagination to really run wild.
I wanted to have the freedom to create whatever story I wanted and add any enemy without worrying about it not fitting within a specific setting. This brought me to Samyaza's first campaign books, the Utah Saga. It's a two part story built with cyberpunk at the helm but fantasy as it's second mate.
"The year is 2079, our heroes find themselves in Salt Lake City, home to the mega corp The Church ™, a company that makes it's money from the public's fear of the after life. Just as the churches of old, this company has taken up the belief that God will forgive all of your sins, but for the right price. Yet there seems to be something more to them. They had been witnessed at recent sites which the news reported as comet crash sites, only to find that the news had been falsified and that the comets were, in reality, relics from the moon. Weapons made for the 1st Lunar War (2033), made of technology beyond their years. The relics seem to call out to the heroes, expressing a need to return to the moon. As the heroes look up towards the moon, they feel a shift in the wind. Maybe The Church ™ isn't what it seems, maybe there are forces they don't yet see at work fighting to change the very course of history."
Soul Drive is the system that I have built over the last five years; it has been tested by over 50 different players, and has been used for several different campaigns. The system treats moments in the session like scenes from a movie, allowing the game master to be a director, giving stage action to many different actors. It emphasizes the building of a scene, using outside resources to produce real emotional feelings and the freedom to construct a campaign for any setting or time. It will give you the flexibility to create things on the fly while using our Samyaza setting, or assist you in building your own stories.
Our main dice mechanic is familiar and easy to understand. It uses a combination of the D10, related stats, and skills to perform all major actions. Building characters are quick and easy. We will be hosting live streams to show the process of building a character and how combat is resolved. We will be releasing all of this via our update section of Kickstarter.
The Plug-and-Play capabilities of the Soul Drive RPG system makes it ideal for people who want to make their own custom campaign. They can create any type of fantasy, natural, sci-fi, magical, or non-magical world and plug it into our system. That is what our Alpha website section will be for, once it is live. People will be able to upload their own creations, and download others. They can also take pieces of one campaign and fit them into someone else's world.
The Samyaza Source book will be a 200 plus page, fully-colored hardback. It will provide all the tools you will need to learn and run the Soul Drive System and experience Samyaza as a setting. You will be able to use this book to build characters, and there will be sections dedicated to shopping for vehicles, augmentation, or the perfect pair of sunglasses; ensuring that each and every character is as diverse and unique as the player themselves.
The book have sections for building your characters using races, classes, and items we have made, as well as sections dedicated to helping you create your own race, class, or item as well. The Soul Drive System was built to promote home-brewing campaigns and story lines. The book will be a combination of introducing the setting and teaching the system.
We have been lucky enough to partner up with DriveThruRPG.com, a successful distribution center of comics, card games, and various RPGs. Making them a part of our Kickstarter was a must for their "Print-on-Demand" service. It allows us to lower the overall goal of our Kickstarter and, with their London location, we are able to cut costs of international shipping; providing a faster and cheaper way to get our product to areas out of the US.
Our goal is to release a PDF Beta version of the Core Book for feedback purposes so that we can make changes and further refine the product before it enters physical and final form. I have written and tested the system myself with a test group of around 50 players. However, I know that there may still be tweaks needed and I would like to create the opportunity for our community to voice their concerns so that we can adjust things, should that need arise.
All of our mats, posters, coins, and items coming from us will be deliverd in a Samyaza postage box.
Everyone with a $60 reward and higher will receive a set of custom Samyaza Dice and the Samyaza City of Flight mini poster.
Everyone with a $60 reward and higher will receive a Samyaza Corp ID.

Everyone with a $100 reward and higher will receive a custom Samyaza Police Badge created by Campaign Coins. (These are exclusive to Kickstarter backers)
Everyone with a $100 reward and higher will receive a Neo Night Directors (GM) Screen.
Every bundle pack bought will now come with a special Epic Directors (GM) Edition Source Book for their teams Director.
The Alpha section of our website will launch.
Our staff will be given department upgrades in order to continue providing unique, inspiring and beautiful content as well as allow us the ability to better keep you in the know and provide continued awesomeness.
Alpha is our magnum opus, our Mona Lisa, our end game. Alpha is a concept idea for our website that we will launch if the stretch goal is reached. We will release campaign catalogs periodically, which will have new campaigns and content. Between campaign books, we will also release Samyaza official campaign settings made by our fan base and brought into canon by our staff.
Any Director (GM) that picks up a source book and wants to build a unique setting will be able to share their idea with others all over the world. A player will be able to upload their own stories to the Alpha section of the website and the Samyaza team will review the chosen ones to become Alpha canon. Once a custom player campaign is chosen, an episode a week will be posted until the end of that campaign's season.
All of our rewards can or will be posted on our FACEBOOK PAGE in due time as finished pieces get to us. Feel free to check them out in the Albums section under Samyaza Kickstarter Rewards. Please, like, share and follow us. Tell your friends and family. Welcome to the community!
Hi guys, I'm Craig Gladden. I work in my local game store, write short stories, and for the last five years I have worked full time as a game master. I have created over 15 campaigns, all using a mixture of the cyberpunk and fantasy genres. I wanted a system and setting that would allow my friends and I the freedom to bend and shake how we wanted; to throw ourselves against danger, live on the edge, and fight enemies that were even cooler then ourselves.
Style over Substance. Attitude is Everything. Live on the Edge.

BreeLynn is a mom, she hangs out with her kid and husband....oh, and her computer. And dog. She likes to draw (but isn't particularly good at it), she is writing this with absolutely no idea what to say. She helps keep Craig from making to many verbal errors when posting on social media (though some still make it through). Odds are if you're messaging us on any social media, like Facebook or Instagram, -whispers - (unless Craig comes out of his cave), then you're chatting with me. So, I look forward to hearing from all of you. <3

By supporting this project, you are supporting a company that will continue to produce content that is unique, enjoyable, and fun to play. If successful, a portion of our current goal will go towards a future Kickstarter goal for our Adversary Guide, as well as our online website that will continue to produce content and give you a front row seat to player generated campaigns. This is a journey we are only just starting, and we are looking forward to walking into the future with you.

Risks and challenges
First time Kickstarter/Designer/Publisher: I am learning many new things that come with the roleplaying game industry and have taken them all in stride. Yet I am very much still a green horn. With that being said, I have created a team that will cover all of our bases, and pick me up and toss me back into the ring if I ever fall. I have a team of Graphic Designers, Writers, Business Owners, and Artists to help me along the way.
Where are we now?: The core book is written and just being typed and brought to PDF. Our artists have finished the more important pieces of art, we will need time for them to finish the others that are going into the core book. As well as the products that we do not already have. If there are any risks, its that we will need time to finish what we haven't already.
Reality: Though I myself will be largely finishing all the next steps. And I am young, no kids, and not bound by reality. My team, and artists are not quite as lucky. So there are the standard risks of me losing one or multiple of them to unforeseen issues.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
