HOW IT WORKS
Kickstarter.com is an incredible resource for independent projects to seek out funding in the online community. Be you friend, family, or just a warm hearted stranger, every little contribution counts!
Our goal is to raise 3000 dollars and we have fifty days to do it. This money will help us pay for everything from equipment and rentals, to lodging, and other crucial items. If we can’t raise at least that much by the end of fifty days, no money changes hands and you as the investor don’t pay a cent. It’s all or nothing.

Harvest is a short student film about a young girl named Jessica who is visiting her grandparents farmhouse with her father and younger brother. Their father tells them a story about creatures that live in the cornfield behind the house, but Jessica doesn't want to believe it's true. When her brother sets out to find them, the girl must confront her fears to keep them both safe from the real dangers lurking within.
The film is set in the beautiful golden cornfields of Wisconsin. We want to catch the corn when it's ripe and ready for harvest so we're scheduled to shoot the first two weeks of October. We’re currently looking for the final few thousand dollars necessary to go into production.
Harvest is a big project. It will combine the best of student and indie filmmaking by utilizing the latest in new equipment, special effects, and a solid production team. With your help we can make it happen.
On the right side of this page you will find a variety of rewards for your contributions. Everyone who invests will get a copy of the film!
We want you to be involved. Coming soon, you will be able to follow our every move from anywhere in the world via our website www.Harvest-Film.com, our twitter page, and our Vimeo video page. Using these tools, you will be able to see what you have been investing in throughout every facet of the production.
THE STUDENT PERSPECTIVE
This film, when completed, has the potential to launch the careers of all key members involved. The individual talents of each team member will be showcased through the massive amount of work that will be pumped into this project. This will give each key team member the ability to shine within his or her own department. You’re not only investing in this project, you’re also investing in us!
As seniors in Columbia College Chicago Film and Video program, we have worked on good projects and we have worked on bad ones. Working in Chicago has taught us that filmmaking is not easy. But with years of experience working in a range of positions in the student, independent, and professional world, we on the Harvest Team are ready for the adventure to come!
