The idea was born looking at the several number of news about immigration in this period and the resulting racism's episodes.
My father is from Morocco and my mother is an Italian lady, unfortunately I lived personally how difference in culture make
people thinks that one is better than the other.
In my opinion difference doesn't mean "Who's better?"
I'd like to draw a portrait of one person in any country in the world: 196, to be precise. Who wouldn't want to visit the whole world?
The goal is to reveal and remember how people have no differences, we are all human being,
and the only difference is the culture we follow.
But no one is more or less than the other one.
We can have a white skin, a black one,
almond eyes or wear a turban but the fact remains that we have all the same feelings, emotions, senses.
NO RACISM is the slogan that moves my pencil in this project.
I'm going to make one portrait a day for a total of 196 days.
With them I will print a 196 pages PHOTOBOOK in A5 FORMAT!
I know, is a long term project but I hope it gives the rights satisfications. The funds will be used to give me art supplies, time and space to draw and find people open to be drawn.
Maybe with a bright smile on your face!
Thanks again for your participation, It helps and means a lot!
Risks and challenges
Being a full time artist takes up a lot of my time and focus.
This is my first Kickstarter project so I'm being realistic about the potential bumps along the way.
Unfortunately shipping's cost from Italy is a bit expensive, if I have the possibility to have a discount because of a large number of shipments I'll repay the difference.
If anything where to happen to your drawing, such as loosing it in the mail, I'll make you another.
The challenge is to do my own to unite and not divide and, obviously, make practice to create new projects!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
