We are making a film about the joy and freedom that comes along with clean water. The film will also tell the story of what happens when we empower our neighbors across the globe to create a new reality for their community.
We are creating this film to bring awareness to the issue of clean water and a provide a clear call to action. The film will show people how holistic, sustainable poverty alleviation is achievable, and how in many communities in Ghana, it starts with clean water.
The clean water well we recently installed in Tsipasi, Ghana in West Africa was our first significant step toward joining hands with the rural community to help them break the cycle of poverty. It will be a slow, difficult, and complex effort, but we were convinced that we must make a move.
The village’s name ironically means a place with abundant water, but the unfortunate reality is that the people of the village were, until now, without access to clean water. The video above is a recap of our indoor ride, which raised the funds needed to install the well.
MORE THAN JUST CLEAN WATER...
Together, we will help tell the story of clean water by introducing audiences to the people of Tsipasi and our continued efforts to assist with holistic, sustainable poverty alleviation in the region. We believe in the power of story, and believe it is by telling a beautiful story that we can inspire people to make a difference.
Here's where you fit in.
We don't want to just take your money and help you feel good about yourself for a moment. We also don't want to contribute to the Western savior complex where rich people from America swoop in with cash and think material goods or possessions end poverty. We want to, together, tell a story of hope, inpsiration, and how we can join hands with our neighbors across the globe to create new realities.
We'd be honored if you'd help us tell this story.
Risks and challenges
To ensure the filming is completed on time in Ghana, we will be filming while we are also in Ghana to celebrate the well that was recently installed. We are also working closely with villagers, including the village chief to establish buy in and collaboration.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
