About this project
Glass Forest Entertainment is proud to present Jenny, written and directed by Sam Graydon. Jenny is a short character driven film concerning one girl, during one day, in the small former logging town of Enumclaw, Washington. Seventeen-year-old Jenny is considered a rebel or an outsider by those in her town. With an unsupportive home life, her main concern is moving out of her parent’s house and getting to the big city as soon as possible. The only person she can really talk to in town is Gary, the local nudist. While the friendship may seem odd from the outside; it’s proof that the bonds that define our lives can come in the strangest, and most unexpected places.
Jenny is considered a “rebel” or an “outsider” by those in her small town. She listens to different music, watches different films, and has a different clothing style than any of her peers.
Gary is first and foremost, a nudist. He is always naked. Some might consider him a little “off.” As for Gary, he thinks he’s one of the “sane” ones and doesn’t really care for all these people running around wearing clothes. Gary lives in a trailer park by the river; and he’s happy there. If anyone cares to confront him about his lack of clothing, he’s happy to debate them in a very articulate way.
We are delighted to announce that Jenny will being starring Academy Award nominee Gary Busey as "Gary." Gary is known for his roles in the films: The Buddy Holly Story, Lethal Weapon, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Point Break and Predator 2. Production for Jenny will begin in June of 2011 in Seattle, Washington.
Jenny is the first of five short films being created for The Splinters. The Splinters is a collection of short films from writers and directors from the Pacific Northwestern United States. Each short offers a glimpse into the turning point of a person's life. Original and thought-provoking, these films challenge the preconceived notions about relationships, life and death. Each film will be submitted individually to national and international film festivals and will be distributed together for traditional theatrical release.
