About this project
Over the last few months, we have been preparing a mystical music video to complement the single National Parks from our new self-titled album. This will not be your average music video. There will be neon bodies, smoke bombs, sparkly mushrooms, mountains, singing waterfalls, starry eyes, and things you can only imagine... for the time being, at least. We are taking it to the next level. We want this video to be phenomenal for you. The only things standing in our way are our bank accounts. So we're asking you, our lovely friends, to help support us in bringing a little happiness to the world.
It will cost us $2,500 to make this baby. Any amount you donate will be forever remembered and rewarded with Ear Pwr flair!!!
THE CONCEPT AND HISTORY
Nature and fresh air, everyday emotions, spattering live percussion, and layers of rich electronics effortlessly meld in EAR PWR’s new self-titled release. In many ways, the album is a rebirth for the North Carolina based band. Devin Booze’s collection of homemade analog synthesizers showcase an array of textures while Sarah Reynolds’ thoughtfully teased and emotive melodies weave everything together seamlessly. Having relocated to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, the pair has spent considerable time and effort creating a batch of songs with a fresh sound that mark an exciting progression from their previous work. The result is an album that celebrates life, youth, and the majestic beauty of the place they call home.
The album’s first music video will be for National Parks, a song that evokes the ethereal, transient, and incandescent mystery of the wild. The filmmakers' goal is to capture the essence of a time and place that is inseparable from EAR PWR’s new music. It will be filmed entirely in hyper-saturated slow motion in the mountains of NC. Nature and nostalgia will drive the imagery while Sarah and Devin (as EAR PWR) journey through a luminous landscape and get lost in the night sky. A bonfire crackles, mushrooms sparkle, neon bodies run with smoke bombs, and fireflies emit light as friends travel through the woods and get lost in the wild.
This music video, like the song itself, will celebrate youth and the mysteries of the world we live in.
