What is Steam World?
Steam World, the song, was inspired by the Official Sacramento Steampunk Society Website Blog: Steam World - The Adventures of Victor Victrola by Robert Saenz, as a way of expanding on the blog and steampunk genre.
The idea behind Steam World is to encompass all genres of post-apocolyptic times into one great big universe of steam power and free energies. The song itself is the first step toward the big picture of uniting these universes together.
Steam World is also the name/inspiration of my next LP music album which will eventually act as the stories musical soundtrack upon completion.
Steam World is also inspired by the late 1800's Victorian era, the early 1900's Edwardian Era as well as the American Old west, Silent Film and the Western Industrial Revolution and also Steampunk Cos/Role-play. Times powered primarily by steam engines.
It takes place as either an alternate reality where the Industrial Revolution left off as if the world chose to never leave the technology of that time
It takes place in a post apocalyptic time after all technologies combined with the wackiness and geed of mankind climaxed into the last great war. A war that destroyed ALMOST everyone, leaving a small fraction of all the peoples and cultures of the earth alive to carry on into the unknown future, but only using free energies available to anyone that power this new world like steam power, solar power and radiant energy.
Who is Victor Victrola?
Victor Victrola is the main character of the stories time. A narrative type whose eyes we see the Steam World through. His life and it's happenings are inspired by and are a play upon some parts of my own life stories.
Along the way we meet new friends including Robert Scarecrow, Erin Melon and others, after arriving in the Steam World in Victor's free energy powered, Zepalloon somewhere beyond rainbows, through the stormy past and into the future filled with optimism and mystery and learn about the new world life of the post apocalyptic universe and its inhabitants.
What is the post-a like? What do they eat, live, sleep and dream? This is experienced through the song, Steam World.
What I need funding for.
What I need your help with is kick starting this adventure off the ground.
There is still a few things that need to be finalized before the song is released as a single like mixing and mastering as well as copywriting, trademarking, signing it up for digital download distribution for online stores like iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody and other stores around the world as well as other expenses related to this.
1 of my hopes is to continue working towards expanding Steam World, after the single release into a full length music album, graphic novel, book and more.
I need your help to do this. If you love Steampunk, Victorian, Edwardian, Post Apocalyptic tales, have a thirst for adventure and exploring the unknown world of, what ifs? I implore your assistance.

Risks and challenges
For the past 11 music album releases I have not only produced every lyric to every song, the photography and album sleeve artwork and the rest, I've also managed to, one way or another, fund the expenses for them as well.
Music is a business . . . art is a life time of hard work and both involve investment and risk in some form or another.
The risk for an artist for every song, painting or what have you, is that somedays are better than others. A well known artist stands a better chance at selling his/her piece than a lesser or unknown (yet not a lesser) talent.
In sale item purchases, I have done fairly well with well over 5,000 download sales. In sale item profits gained . . . not so much.
Most of the monies earned from my sales are ultimately divided between myself and several distributor middlemen. Example: If a song is sold at .99 cents on iTunes, I receive between .05 to .002 cents of that. Usually the latter. Leaving me very little in royalties to be able to invest back into this business let alone even think about buying a new pair of shoes.
Everything I say will be done with the funds raised for Steam World will be done from the mastering, the artwork, incentives ordered and shipped, placed in online stores worldwide, etc, etc.; will all be completed (as evidenced by my previous releases). So the only risks would be mastering or digital distribution delays or delays with the printing/manufacturing of the incentives.
