STRETCH GOAL #1: $20K
Our stretch goal will defray the cost of post-production, as we edit the film, design the sound, and add visual effects and color grade. After it's finished, we plan on submitting the short to festivals so it can be seen by people all over the world! Now that we've hit our initial goal, we're making this film. But with your help we can get it seen!
Pizza Time is an action-comedy short film that takes a normal every day pizza delivery driver and plops him right in the middle of a serious action movie in which he does not belong.
The short takes place in real time over the course of our hero’s pizza delivery. We meet The Driver at the "It's Pizza Time" pizza parlor– his face plastered on the employee of the month wall as a shrine to delivery men of mythical legend. When he arrives at the house he tries multiple times to knock on the door with no reply. The Driver eventually makes it to the backyard and sees that the back door is cracked open. When he enters the house he's surprised to find The Hitman strangling The Homeowner to death.
This sets in motion a visceral and hilarious fight scene as we watch The Driver try to make it out of the house alive... and successfully deliver his pizza in the process.
Conceived in the nostalgic spirit of 80s action films, Pizza Time offers a unique blend of genres, combining the tone of a stylish action-thriller with the style and comedy of a classic Jackie Chan "fish out of water" story. The film explores themes of determination through hardship, perfectionism, personal safety, pride, and even lost love. It has pizza, silenced pistols, red mopeds, broken glass tables, and a heavy analog synth score. Also did I mention pizza? There is lots of pizza.
BEN WORLEY (THE DRIVER / COMPOSER)
Ben will be wearing multiple hats on Pizza Time, acting as "The Driver" and also scoring the film. Ben is a film composer, music producer, and actor that has done work for clients like Bethesda, Adobe, LifeWay, Buzzfeed, Coca-a-Cola, and Red Giant.
ERIC JACOBUS (THE HITMAN / FIGHT COORDINATOR)
Like Ben, Eric will also be playing double duty as both our fight coordinator and a performer in the role of "The Hitman". Eric is a stuntman and actor who works in film, TV, and video games as a performer and action designer. He’s known for his hard falls and variety of fighting styles, with a penchant for physical comedy. When you mix Jackie Chan, Buster Keaton, and a beard, you get Eric.
In 2018 Eric made headlines as the motion capture stuntman for Kratos, Baldur, and multiple other characters in Sony’s God of War. He's also collaborated with Hollywood director Clayton J. Barber in the award-winning films Blindsided: The Game and the Rope A Dope series, as well as in Boots Riley’s Sorry to Bother You.

Risks and challenges
Making ambitious action films like this is a large task– it takes organizing a lot of moving parts, planning obsessively, and raising quite a large amount of money for production. But we look forward to the challenge and are excited to bring this story to life.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
