Im backer 14,133. My pledge was 240 plus xtra bluetooth &blender. It really sucks to attempt to back someone's dream and to be scammed. I have learned my lesson. I was too thrilled to get one. The thrill is gone. By the time I get mines someone will have come out with something better. 2014 until an indefinite time is ridiculous to wait for a product unless you send extra money in hopes of getting the product. It feels like extortion to me
At this point I doubt I will see the cooler showing up within this year, and I don't think I can ever receive a refund. Got the coolest last night that I ordered from Amazon, still hoping that my original pledge will get refunded. Overall the coolest seems pretty nice and it is quite heavy. Have not used the blender other than to just make sure it worked without ice. Speaker worked pretty well.
How in the world is this on sale on Amazon for a dollar less than what I pledged for. So if I waited and just ordered this on Amazon, i'd have it in a week. You are kidding me. Is this not some breach of contact with the backers? Can't we pull out and just buy it outright at this point?
To be honest, I'm not all that hopeful about receiving my refund, since they say "We will address your request approximately 2 weeks before your shipping batch is scheduled for delivery. At that time you will have the option to either receive your backer reward or proceed with your refund request" So if my cooler is never scheduled to ship I don't get my refund? I was very supportive of the whole deal until this latest amazon thing... As a business owner myself, I can understand the decision to sell at retail in order to fund the final backers, but to ask people to spend an extra 100 on top of what they've already spent, just to offer them at retail for the original price is unthinkable. Here's hoping for the refund some day... If that actually happens, I will happily buy a coolest at whatever the retail price happens to be at the time, I'm assuming even lower than my initial pledge....
So funny! All those Kickstarter backers who got conned into Ryan's scheme and then got bilked out of yet another $97 just found out that they could have gone to Amazon and bought and received the unit for the very same price us suckers pledged in the very initial Kickstarter. $199 + 25 shipping. Ryan's project is like a cockroach and just keeps popping up from a new dark, dank fetid places to remind us we've been had. Mind you, we took the slow con in the beginning as the initial pledge was $199 including shipping but tear-eyed little Ryan came hat and hand to us and sobbed how hard he tried but just had to ask for a little more to cover shipping, $25 and everything would be okie dokie. Lol. Yeah. 2.5 years later he's still reminding us all of that really regrettable one night stand we never should have had as freshmen in college.

I intend to file for my refund; but I also want my $$ for the extra speaker. I'm done with this whole deal.

Friggin Incredible! Backers have been waiting over two years for their Coolers! I pledged $185 paid additional $15 shipping (also paid for extras) so I gave Ryan $200 and have waited over two years, three Labor Days have come and gone with no Cooler! Yet today I could have purchased one for $199 and had it tomorrow or the next day! Free Prime Shipping! So I could save a dollar and get it immediately, yet Ryan has had my money interest free around $300 and you know what I have? I have been screwed!!!!

Many people paid an extra $97 because an email said the $200 we paid was not profitable and couldn't sustain business. Had I not received mine, a sale price that is apparently unsustainable would be a great cause for concern for both those that paid the ransom and those that haven't received their cooler.
The company is not being honest about something, but that shouldn't really surprise us at this point.
You know, Ryan, the least you could do is let people know where they are in the queue. I think many of us have been very patient. It is difficult when we see it on Amazon lightening deals for the backer price. Am I next in the queue or dead last. I know this may be challenging because of zones but you could do it by zones. Time for another update.
I've backed a couple projects that have taken years from start to fruition. At least I know this one exists. I am actually sort of relieved to be one of the last backers to receive the Coolest.( I still believe I will receive it at some point.) It gives them a chance to see what works and what doesn't work and fix the bugs. So far the updates make sense to me. I think right now the best thing to do is stop badmouthing the product on retail sites so that they can generate $$ to send you your discounted KS cooler. It probably is time for an update though.
@Carlos. If you still have the manual for the speaker, there are instructions on how to "reset" it. I had the same problem. Resetting it fixed it but it seems to happen again from time to time warranting another reset. Here's how in case you tossed the manual:
1. Power the speaker off
2. Connect the speaker to an active power source
3. Press both the power button and the right "party pairing" button 2 at the same time
4. Disconnect from the power source and power-on your speaker

Here's a thought: send the damn cooler to the backers first and let THAT be your marketing/advertising to sell more in retail stores. You end up with satisfied backers demo'ing and showing off their coolers, generating interest, creating sales and voila! You're in a real business having used a real business model. WTH? Not rocket science. Thousands of businesses in the US have followed this method and are highly successful.

The consensus from the FB group and my personal experience was many, many of those who received coolers without paying the ransom had filed with the ORDOJ. They are currently aware and an active investigation is the response currently being received for those who have recently filed. However, since the departure of the Marketing Director it appears emails are not being returned and silence is Coolest"s MO for now. Could this spell the end? I hope not as I want each person who backed this to receive what they were promised if the project was successful. And it was. It is just most of the coolers due to backers ended up on Amazon and at Bass Pro. So don't comment you weren't promised anything. yes we were if the project was successful.

I got 2 batteries and one of them works great but the other battery shows 3 dots (75% full charge) but it doesnt blend at all. I have tried to charge the battery again to full only to have the same result... has anyone else had this issue and is it possible to get a replacement battery? I will pay for shipping or whatever is necessary. If anyone has any advice or any number, email, etc I can contact I would appreciate that! I love my coolest and it goes over great at parties
