Hello Kickstarter world, Ryan here - My friends and I are making a short film called "Ian and the Bishop" about a young man and his drunk alter egos journey to find happiness...and vodka. We will be shooting this June, we're all super psyched about it, and this page is your chance to help!
Even if this Kickstarter thing doesn't work out, I am bankrolling this entire short film myself. I love the idea that if you want to make a film nowadays and you have the right people helping you, it can absolutely become a reality - and that is the journey we are all currently on right now.
The funds for this Kickstarter will be going towards lights, film permits, makeup, fuel, food for the crew, etc AND if we get enough dolla dolla bills I will actually be able to pay my cast/crew who have put a whole lot of time and effort into to this project free of charge cause they are awesome people.
After the film is complete we will be entering it into film festivals (where everyone is invited to come see it) and hopefully people will like it. A lot. So, let me just say thank you all very much, money or no money, this has been an amazing experience already and the cameras haven't even been turned on yet. I can't wait for you all to see what we have been working so hard on.
We (Ryan, Abigail, and Dylan and the cast/crew) will be updating you throughout the entire process and we look forward to making this film with your help.
K cool thanks bye!

Risks and challenges
Every challenge is an opportunity to succeed! Sorry...I thought I was in a job interview. The challenges in making a film like this are simple: A location might back out. It might rain/be way too hot to be outside for extended periods of time. A permit might be tougher to get than expected. Equipment malfunctions. People might get sick and push back shooting schedules. Anything that can go wrong might go wrong - but if we weren't ready to meet every one of those challenges head on, we wouldn't have tried to do something like this and we have backup plans for almost anything we can think of to make this film work.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
