MISSED THE KICKSTARTER?
Nothing is Forgotten: A Collection of Short Stories will be for sale at www.ryan-a.com in NOVEMBER 2014.
Nothing is Forgotten is a collection of short stories, written and illustrated by me, Ryan Andrews. You can read these stories, and look at some of my other work, at www.ryan-a.com.
Pledging to bring these stories to print will not only reward you with a beautiful book, but also help me continue to make more comics in the future.
This collection includes the following four stories:
I've been wanting to reprint these books for awhile, but offset printing can be very expensive. That's why I've turned to Kickstarter to raise the money through pre-orders. This is a chance for those of you who missed the first edition to get your very own shiny copy! Or hey, maybe grab two, and give one as a special gift.
Some examples of the types of drawings I'll be doing:
Please click here to see which inked pages are available before pledging. After pledging, please send me a private message via Kickstarter letting me know which page you would like. (This reward includes the book and prints. Please add $20 for character drawing, or $50 for custom drawing on title page)
The books are being shipped from my home in Japan, and I can ship them to pretty much anywhere. The shipping cost to most countries is included in the pledge amount. Shipping to countries in South America and Africa gets a little pricey though, so if you live over there, please add the designated amount to your pledge to cover the cost.
What's all that money going to?
This all goes to the printing.
$3,500 (this goes up and up once the goal is surpassed):
Shipping all the rewards out to you from my home in Japan.
This is the amount left over to cover taxes, and act as a buffer in case any problems come up.
I hope you'll consider pledging in order to keep this book in print. Thank you for taking the time to look at my project.
Risks and challenges
With my last Kickstarter, the overseas printer I originally used ended up not being a good fit, which caused multiple delays, and a heavy financial burden for me. However, despite numerous setbacks, I pushed through and got the rewards out to every backer. There's always the possibility of delays this time around, but I after handling the last onslaught of mishaps, I'm confident that I can take on any problem that might come my way.
That said, I've used my current printer numerous times for prints and minis, and they always do an outstanding job. And with them being located here in Japan, the turn around times are MUCH faster than the back and forth of working with overseas printers.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
