RESISTOR is a zine that features original games, fiction, and artwork focusing on the correlation between technology, tech as magic, social issues, gender, and existence through a cyberpunk lens.
Our games are personal, meaningful, and mostly analog. They're not video games, they're more like solitary rituals for techno witches, and interactive group activities to be played in sms messages.
Our flash fiction is set in a magical techno world. Short stories, micro fiction, and poetry will help you plug-in to our perspective.
Our art is inspired by these themes and images. Created by illustrators, photographers, fine artists, this work will feature people, objects, technology, and spaces that exist in this techno-pagan world.
The main themes this first issue are access, technology, and class. It's mostly done, and we're pretty excited about it. It's woke af.
We've got the next few issue themes plotted out as well! Looking into the scrying pools of our black mirrors, we predict these types of stories, games, and art in future issues:
- Tech as status
- Modular bodies
- Identity and existence
- Media Surveillance Security
NEW ARTIST ADDED: Gennifer Bone is a 40 year old monstersmith, artist, and punk. She lives out in Columbus, Ohio, with her wife, three cats, and a serpent. She is classified as Slightly Lethal.
